I would like to thank all of Brandon's gaming peers for the posts here. Combat Gaming was a important part of his life. It was nice to see he had touched so many lives through his passion for it. To read about his gaming prowess & see the posts from the other FA gamers all over the world whom he had played with & against was heartwarming & helpful at a time when I am particularly weary & sad. Bernice & I fostered & encouraged a love of gaming in Brandon. Even as a small child he was gifted at combat game play, we spent hours & hours way back when mastering CONTRA on the original Nintendo system...he loved competition. The constant flow of automatic weapons fire, explosions & command chatter from his room was sometimes annoying, but, I'd give anything to hear it now...
There is a remembrance guest book provided on the SacBee.com obituary page for Brandon that we plan to have printed as our keepsake later on this year. I would love to see a few posts from his gaming friends included there.

The area where the accident occurred is unpredictable. The American river joins the larger Sacramento River there. We will never know what caused the accident. He & his bud Mike had just arrived at the beach area about 15 minutes before the accident. Mike swam across to their favorite spot, an overhanging tree, jumped in & swam back to the beach, & then swam across again ahead of Brandon with no problems. I suspect a combination of the day?s temp (108) combined with the American river?s water temp being lower than normal (60s) due to additional water being released from the damn upriver caused a cramp. Brandon paused, was caught in the strong current and was swept under. Mike immediately dove in to help when Brandon failed to resurface, but couldn?t find him in the swift moving water. DART divers were on the scene within minutes & also failed. His body was recovered the following evening.
Thank you again, Sincerely, Charles L. (Fastkill911's Dad)
I would like to respond to the Pfc_weihe?s comment. Gaming was an competitive outlet for Brandon, at which he was extremely skilled. It was however, just a small portion of his busy life. Brandon was 6?4? tall, 190 lbs, very athletic and an experienced skilled swimmer. Between being a full time student at ITT tech, working full time, playing basketball, and keeping the ladies happy, Brandon had a very active life.
