The Q6700 went from $570 to $2something.

Not enough of a price drop. I got my Q6600 for cheaper than that because of a comp shop going out of business

Intel must be gettin ready to launch their mainstream quad 45nm CPUs. They said they would have several of them so far in only see about 3-4 new 45nm quads. The Q9450 has also fell in price by about $50 from when it first released at $400.

Yeah the new 45nm should be released late Q3.

Hopefully by sometime this summer when I'm planning on upgrading my video card / CPU (maybe) they'll be even cheaper.
