Just looking for clarification, I honestly don't care either way and am asking so I know.

 

Baseraping, is it allowed on your servers? Usually, it is, but somebody argued with me. I just want to ensure I understand which side of the line you guys are on in this matter.

I dont think there is a rule for it, but i may be wrong and some one here (gator) will correct me if im wrong, he knows everything lol.

Traditionally, The Armory didn't have that rule. I know it was tried at one point as none of us really liked it, but there was difficulty in deciding where the line was drawn which caused the admins spending more time trying to explain the subject than actually playing. In the end, it was just more trouble than it was worth.

 

However, I acknowledge a ton of time has passed since I last popped my head in here, so I know things are subject to change. I just want to ensure I'm on the right side of the line when I play in your playground. *laughs*

As it currently stands, no rules regarding base raping... If a team gets pinned down, they need to work together to get out.. If they don't, it will be a quick match..

so dead roach = defiant wolf? Does this have anything to do with the round of Arica Harbor a little bit ago, about 80% of our team were snipers and 90% of the "non-snipers" sat back with said snipers so there was no effort to advance?

Aye, I am Defiant Wolf in BC2. I remember that match. I was trying to flank around the left with that one. Managed to get to B before I got spotted and ended up shooting a bunch of the other team in the back while I franticly avoided the sniper who was trying to pin me down. ><

 

But no, it had more to do with a certain individual trying to tell me that there was a rule against it. I actually found myself double-checking I had joined The Armory server because it was so out of character for such a rule to exist. I decided to ask just to make sure, as it has been awhile since I've gamed with this group. Generally, the only rule has always been "Be Nice, or Be Gone". Good to see you guys still haven't made things more complicated than that.

Yah know, I don't exactly remember. And even if I did, the subject was dropped and he didn't carry on; so it wouldn't really be worth calling him out. I just wanted to know for future reference, nothing more.

Usually if the servers are dieing we'll try not to base-rape so as to keep them going but as for a rule, there is none. Was it an (=A=) member that told you that by any chance?

Baseraping is fine by me because I have found more often than not that it messes up the team that is raping. A few people get out and cap all the point, all of a sudden the raping team is surrounded and has to spawn back at their own base. It is just really annoying when the raping team is good at it.

@Decaff - No, it wasn't. If it was somebody with an (=A=) tag, I wouldn't even come here to ask. I would of just assumed that the rule was in place.

Feh, it's pretty much how I feel. You can push out if you work together on it. So many cornered teams go into "sniper mode" and you lose all your momentum. I've tried popping smoke and leading the charge, but nobody charges. Hell, I've been the lone guy on the point while the rest of my squad sits outside of it farming kills when we HAVE NO POINTS. Moments like that just make me ragequit.
