Patches Posted November 12, 2015 Author Share Posted November 12, 2015 I worked in the oil/gas well drilling industry during the winter months from 1985-2005 I recall working as a derrickhand in January 2001 when it got to -66 celsius. So frik'n cold that the iron jaws on the tongs were breaking due to cold. We had to shut down the drilling operation until the temp rose. Daylight only drilling and night shift was easy money.
