I hope battlefield makes this game cross platform. Cross platform games are becoming popular between pc, ps4, and Xbox one. I have my hopes up that we can have our own server

I really hope they bring back battleships that we can control like in 1942, and that they do something with the zeppelins like a titan mode thing from 2142.

Apparently you can from what I read. They said you can crash the ship onto the shore if you want.

Also I think I know why they didn't do a futuristic game this year. EA already has a futuristic game coming out this year or early next year. Titanfall 2.

Well, I was very disappointed to learn that they decided on this time period for the new Battlefield.  They have been hinting at BF2143 with Easter Eggs in Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4, so I am very surprised they did not make it this time.  They should take a poll from actual players what time period they would like covered.  DICE makes great games, and I am sure this will be a nice game, but I am just not excited about this one.  I will play the Beta and keep an open mind, but if it does not live up to my expectations, I can always get Call of Duty this year, instead BF1.

I'm with you.   I am not really that interested in this time period.   It looks pretty, but so did Hardline and Battlefront at first.   I will try the beta before making any decisions.

This  could be good!

Battlefield 1 is slated to release on October 21, 2016 across PC, Xbox One and PS4. PC and Xbox One EA Access subscribers get early access, and Battlefield 1 will get its own beta test in the coming weeks.

Again, I am holding final judgement on the beta. I hope it is one hell of a game.

If they go the STAR WARS BATTLEFRONT server style where we can not ru our own server, sorry, I will not purchase the game and probably wont even mess with the beta.

I will wait and see. Please do not make this a threepeat of the last few games put out by DICE.
