Does anyone have any kind of information on commander's score? Where it comes from, how it's calculated and such?

Anytime you kill an enemy either yourself or Orbital Bombardment Kills, people using your crates and my all time favorite. You get a command point for every person you spot who is killed. Can you say,

It's also somewhat computed by the score of everyone else on your team, so if somebody is stat-padding and getting some major points, you will too.

Well, if you are trying to get the badges then good luck. I have both my silver badges an I'm still not sure how you get the bronze badges. I thought it was based on the Commander Score that you see on the scoreboard on the end of the round, but I exceeded the required amount several times and still didn't get the bronze. When I did finally get it, I have no idea what I did to get it...

 

I do know that you don't get them until then end of the round.

You get commander score from the average of your team's score. This goes towards your Global Score. If your team wins, this score is doubled. You get commander bonus points that go towards your Career Score for the things RedFrost mentioned.

You must have your Bronze Conquest and Titan Command badges to be eligible to get the respective Command Silver badges. To get the Bronze, you have to get a command score of 30. This is the score that is calculated as an average of your team's score. It does NOT include any commander bonus points and it is PRIOR to the 2X bonus if you are the winning commander. For the silver badges one needs 1000 Global commander score and 25 minutes as commander in a single round. The latter requirement is the toughest to get as most rounds don't last that long.

I could never figure out exactly how it calculated the score for the bronze requirement. I tried so hard to get the bronze that by the time I got it, I got the silver shortly after because I met all the requirements during my quest for the bronze ones. Hehe.

 

As for how long a round lasts, it really depends on the conquest map and how good the 2 teams are. I've had some last quite a bit more than 25 minutes.

 

P.S. I know you need bronze before silver. Heh.

I have quite a large post on how to command proper for pubs, part of that post says commanders stay in the rear and don't get involved in fighting. To get your commanders gold, you are probably gonna have to participate a little to get that extra kick in points.

 

Be a medic or support and res and give ammo for about half the map. After that, you should be good.

I'm not worried about getting the silvers; it's just putting the time in. That 1000 points should help quite a bit on my quest to be a general by Sunday night.

I didn't know about the average part....that's what I was most confused by. So I should get my squads to do whatever will increase their score.....got it

 

PS: My new favorite is to play commander in titan as an engineer in a titan AA gun.....that way I can work on my commander silver, engie bronze, titan attack and defend gols, and AA silver all at once. They all just require more time and commander requires points.

 

PPS: In terms of the silver commander badge, does "commander points" include the doubled points if you win or just the original commander score?

I believe it counts all commander points you gain. So basically, whatever your points are for the end of the round counts toward the 1000 goal.

 

At least that's what I noticed when I was working on my silver badges.

1000 bonus points?!?! Damn....that might take a while.....

I'm almost positive that the ONLY points that count towards the 1000 Commander points for silver is the part that is calculated as an average of your team's score. Commander bonus points do not count and the 2x bonus does not count. They do count in your Career Points in terms of ranking up.

I managed to get my titan one. I'm over 700/1000 on my conquest one. The 20 mins in conquest might suck though.......

I really wish you could turn off the voice coms. They get really annoying and ALWAYS happen when you're trying to find someone... And then they kill you!
