Sir_BUTCHER
Just trying to calm down after 2 horrible matches against Jim Jones and others, and feeling like talking about play styles. I have to admit steam frustrates me alot also, my framerate problem is sitll there and i have a decent computer, its really some problem due to steam. Anyway, i hope they patch it.My whole view of firearms is pretty weird. Capturing is gratifying, but i dont try to do it very often unless its really needed or that things are going bad for the team. Same goes for objectives. Teamplay is important and fun, but i often like to be on my own and do my stuff. Although i consider Kills-death ratio important, its not really essential for me.. Im obsessed with only one thing, MOST KILLS. I even take some fun getting most kills and most deaths, although they removed that reward i think?I enjoy mostly close range fights with smgs, and even more with the knife. I pretty much always use a silenced mp5 and a knife, i first unload my clip and then just rush with my knife to finish the job. I dont take time to aim too much, my goal is jsut to weaken my ennemy to finish them with my knife.. I get easily irritated by long ranged ennemies killing me , or when i get killed for missing to aim or bad mouse movement, etc.. 1 on 1 fights are what i really like the most. I love grenades too, but i die too often priming them and all and being rushed by an ennemy during... Nades are honestly only good in iwoojima, bocage and river. One thign that i dont understand is that i can pull 40-10 scores, and another time ill struggle to be in a positive ratio... I aint constant at all in my production... sometimes things hits , and other times they miss... That new shotgun often gets me 1 shot killed too, i guess its pretty strong..and the knife is pretty randomish when you sprint toward someone and try to slash them as they back off.. you appear to be in the normal hit range, but it glitches and miss constantly... and its hell to knife someone proned or crouched... maybe i shouldnt listen to music, always hang with a few teammates and concentrate all the time, but its fun to play relax although not very efficient... I just play for the rush and to kill, im crazy enough to run in a machinegunners wall or in a snipers wall if i have the posibility of brining 1 to death with me... I take the killing very seriously , im mad everytime i die in a way i dont like or if im in a bad streak.. losing a game is ok but not a duel...Ah well, Share whatever you feel liek talking about. I feel better now..

Klif
One thign that i dont understand is that i can pull 40-10 scores, and another time ill struggle to be in a positive ratio... I aint constant at all in my production... sometimes things hits , and other times they miss... oh, i hear that! A good example of what happens to me ALL THE TIME: recently I went 50:10 on durandal. then right after, on sandblast (typically my favorite and best map!) I went 10:30! ten and thirty on sandblast! that's bad for ANYONE, much less me! I've narrowed down a few things that might be affecting my playing. Hayabusa
It happens to me too. More than half the time I'll get a kill with my Remington in less than 1 shot. But there are those times that I fire all 8 rounds, and I only do 12 damage because I can't seem to depress the mouse button at the right time. :x :x :x :x I don't care if I'm on top. As long as I kill more than I die, I'm content with my score (I only count legit frags resulting from shooting, none of that "Wow! I'm awesome because my score is 11-0 after capturing in upham after coming across only 1 guy who only had a sniper rifle while I had FAMAS or some other high R.O.F. weapon." ) Try saying that in one breath. If you can, become an opera singer.
Sir_BUTCHER
i forgot to mention, i am not affraid to fight at all... i actually dont like the sneaking style...The best joy is when i am face to face with ennemy. I have a knife in hand and a huge smile, and he has a famas and empties his clip at me. ( i will just jump around , crouch , circle walk, strate to dodge). Then i run straight to him and knife him when he reloads. Thats pretty much the best kill you can get in this game, and the most satisfying.I like this discussion, keep it up! DeadRoach
I only use 2 configs, both full heavy armor and a claymore. One config uses a Sterling, extra bandages, and Marks 1 (then Noma, then depending on my mood M2 or Stealth). My other config is Saiga 12k, First Aid 1 and 2.I'm a rusher, no doubt about it. Although I'm rather fond of setting claymore traps in unusual places. I prefer to detonate them remotely, as my claymore's seem to have this neon sign attached to them that only my teammates see that says "trip over me". I try to place them in a way where the claymore will be to the side or behind the victom.Occasionally, I'll get the sniper itch and set up with a SVD to pop off heads. But when you get down to it, I rush forward.I'm very objective oriented, so I'll often go for captures. I DO count capture points. My view is that this is a TEAM oriented game, and hitting those objectives are important to the TEAM. Therefore, any reward given to those hitting the objectives count in my book.I will add, that I do adore the close up fights (as reflected in my configs, using both the Sterling and Saiga. Just go wide open and aim for the face. Sprint away and reload, come back and empty another clip. (Thus noma being my second choice). However, my greatest satisfaction comes from pulling off a flank and ripping thru 2 or 3 enemies on one clip from behind. Me
Dont forget, MArksmenship helps tighted the shots of the 12k ands marks helps the remy shoots faster and nomanclature loads 2 shells instead of 1. dont notice a big diff on 12k when reloading. But tests i did with the 12k's accuracy.. were quite impressive. It seems when running nothing helps its accuracy but with marks 2 and croutched.. its like shiiting a famas on full auto over a distance you "could" snipe with it. Christopher
I only use one config over here. I get heavy armor and all of the extra armor bits. I then have a sterling, frag grenade, and concussion grenade. I always will take Lvl 1 Medic to begin with.My success in a map will usually depend upon how linear it is. On maps like ps_river, I will usually rack up 11-to-1 score ratios just by healing. But on less linear maps I'll often end up with a 3-to-1 ratio or worse. Being successful as a medic depends primarily on knowing where the people are. In a map like ps_river, people will be at a predictable chokepoint or two. But on tc_caen, for example, the team will be all over the place making it much harder for me to find wounded people.
DeadRoach
Actually, Mazor told me not long ago that Marksmanship does absolutely nothing for the Saiga (but he also claimed that the Remmy was no more powerful than the m3, so that mean absolutely squat) However, yes, the Remmy does shot faster with Marks. Pity I hate the remmy and can't do jack with it. :/I do great with the Saiga without it anyway, if I'm wrong. A few days ago, only Enourmous was beating me in kills on the thing. Just get up close and go for the face.
