Refrigerator Cooling

Abit BE62 with a Slot "T" adapter for a Celeron 2 (Technically a Pentium 3).It is a 1.1 gig Cel 2 oveclocked to 1650mhz at 150fsb. I have 1.85 volts going in. The default is 1.5 Ibelieve. The processor is at 45deg when warmed up.It stays that way too.I did this mod in around an hour. Fridge conversion that is.It is a homemade waterblock insulated with spray foam.Simple pipe foam insulation wrapped with duct tape is around the coolant line/hoses.What you see in the fridge holding the coolant is a 6 pack cooler that is around the Freezer tray for the fridge. Coolant inside gets chilled at whatever temp you want! I do not know how low it can go. I never maxed it out.I keep the coolant at around 25deg on idle. I have had the coolant down to 10deg no problem. Just turn the fridge temp down!!!!!!!Condensation is your enemy so be carefull.!!!!!!!Vapochills cannot simultaneously cool Coke's and Beers. Now what COLLEGE Dorm room or roommate for that matter wants a Vapochill when you can have something like it that does double duty:)B) :)

The fridge has an insualted 6 pack cooler around the freezer tray. It contains the coolant and pump. (Water and antifreeze). The pump cirrculates the chilled coolant to the CPU making it colder so you can put more volts into the cpu getting a higher overclock. The Mac-fridge is an inexpensive way to get really low coolant temps without the bother of a Peltier or Phasechange system. And as to Why?Because you can.

hmm, well Mac, I like your idea and so do many of my friends, but I dont think my roommate would spring for it, especially with such limited dorm space. My one college provide a mini fridge in each room and I dont think they would like it if we tooled around with it :)
