1. We also lost a family member of 12 years. Our dog Shags died of an infection just few months ago. I'm sorry for your loss. /monthly_06_2011/post-2213-130810194313_thumb.jpg
2. FYI, my system was $1,800 from TigerDirect.com . Because of my work needs, it's based around a rackmount chassis. I have the unique advantage of working from home, and having a job that requires access to high-ends graphics machines that just happen to also make good gaming machines.
3. Well, I probably can't volunteer, as I have a tendency to over extend myself. However, I can share that I just finished putting together my new machine yesterday. I haven't really even had a chance to play with it yet. It's a 3 GHz Core 2 Duo, with 4 GB RAM, 500 GB RAID 5 Array, and an nVidia 8800 video card with 768 MB video RAM. I loaded up 2142 and was very pleased to be able to run the single player version of the game with video settings set to "High". Looks really great that way. I hope to be able to dive into some live action later today.
4. Georgia Satellites - "Keep Your Hands To Yourself" makes me want to hurt people.
5. Northwest Ireland, Donegal - Sligo, beautiful quiet rugged countryside, nice people, good pubs.
6. This does sound interesting. I'll have to give it a try.
7. I like variety. I like the city map server, but after a while I get bored and go looking for NS or Titans. Having one dedicated server, and one Swiss Army knife (NS/TITAN/CONQUEST) server makes sense to me.
8. I just found that as you posted. Her goes...
9. I uploaded a new sig pic. It shows it in the User CP but it' not showing up in my posts?
10. No one here has asked yet, but I frequently get asked what the name "Kneebender" is about. It's a football term. It refers to bending at the knee instead of the waist, for better stability when hitting your opponent. Thus, I present my new sig.
11. I'm torn. PB&Honey is one of my favorites also. Though, instead of toasted, I like it when the bread soaks in the honey. So that the bread is saturated with it, and the sugar in the honey has started to crystallize ever so slightly. On the other hand, that post Thanksgiving turkey, stuffing, & cranberry sauce sandwich is pretty awesome.

Theoretically, the "Full" designates a cumulative update (that's why they're so damn big) and you should be able to just uninstall, then re-install 1.25. When it happened to me (come to think of it, it might have been 1.1) that's all I did to fix it. I believe that this bug surfaces when EA Link doesn't finish the update properly, and therefore doesn't update the appropriate registry entries. So that when you go to play, the servers do not recognize that the patch has been applied. Now that I think about it, I seem to remember that there's a way to force the registry to update, but they (EA) don't recommend it. What you are trying to accomplish, is to re-install, hoping that whatever caused it to miss last time (coincidental interference from another process is my guess) doesn't happen again, and EA Link can update the appropriate registry entries. Unfortunately, EA Link won't let you re-install until you uninstall, because it thinks the patch has been applied. It would be much simpler if EA Link had a "Repair" function like Windows or others.

That sucks. I feel your pain. I had the same issue with patch 1.2. You should be able to use EA Link to uninstall, then reinstall any components and or patches. Uninstalling, then reinstalling did the trick for me, but it was really annoying. Good Luck.
