  1. I like to use the turrets. I have the G5 mouse, but I don't change the sensitivity on it. Never really needed a reason to change the sensitivity when I find a good turret. The NS maps seem to have some of the best turret placements for doing this, IMO.
  2. I buy a lot of stuff online since there isn't any good shopping around here without driving 150+ miles (lowest priced generic 350W power supply around here is $55). I haven't had any problems with my card number being stolen and I use my debit card quite often. Good thing is my bank hasn't updated my debit card information, so it's still using my old house address and zip code. So if anyone did get my debit card number they'd have to figure out which previous address it's still using. Works out to be a pretty good defense against fraud.

  4. The only difference I really see is that the G11 is the old G15, just without the flip-up LCD screen. The new G15 (unreleased) has fewer programmable "G" keys, the LCD display is fixed instead of the flip-up and has the black/orange LCD screen and orange backlight keys (the old G15 has the black/white LCD screen with blue backlight for the keys). Supposedly the old G15 still used USB 1.1 maybe the new G15 will get to USB 2.0. That's all I could really spot.

  6. I hate this subject. If I have one more politician talk about how ethanol is the future of fuel for vehicles, I'm gonna go postal. Corn ethanol might be easy to create, but it's currently more expensive to make than gasoline. Ethanol producers are already asking the government to subsidize ethanol to make it more affordable (which means higher taxes). Corn prices get higher which causes beef and poultry prices to go higher. Yes, bi-products from ethanol production can be used to feed cattle, but the bi-products can have a high sulfur content. High sulfur causes polio in cattle, so now you have to vaccinate a large amount of cattle for polio. Ethanol can be made from wood chips or switchgrass, but using them is even harder and takes longer which makes them even more expensive. Then you have the fact that ethanol does not have the same amount of energy as gasoline, thus you have to burn more ethanol to get the same performance as gasoline. That's why they mix it with gasoline (E85 is 85% ethanol/15% gasoline), so the performance drop isn't as extreme. Ethanol also breaks down faster than gasoline, so it cannot be transported via pipelines and has to be trucked everywhere. So how is it going to solve our energy problems AND slow down the creation of greenhouse gases? It might be able to do one or the other but not both, and probably won't be that much cheaper than gasoline (currently E85 is, on average, $0.42 cheaper than gasoline in the US). Right now I have to think that biodiesel is the way to go. It can be made from used or new cooking oil, reduces carbon monoxide emissions and releases fewer particulates into the atmosphere. Diesel and biodiesel already get better mileage and have better power output than gasoline or ethanol. There are articles all over the news and the internet about families making their own biodiesel from used cooking oil they get for free from local restaurants (or by turning a <2% portion of their total farmland to canola plants for canola oil). They then use this biodiesel in their daily vehicles and the tractors and combines used to harvest. One family has even started using biodiesel to heat the water for their house. Ok, I'm done with my rant. Needed to get that out. Thank you.

  8. Some questions: Are you selling the Windows Vista install disc with the computer? If so, is it the full install or the upgrade? Are there any problems with any of the hardware? And finally, do you accept PayPal? (Probably the easiest way for me to pay for it if I decide to.) I've been wanting to try out Vista, but didn't want to blow my current computer up just to upgrade and discover I hate it. Plus my brother could probably use a new computer since he's still using my old Athlon 1.2GHz computer. Let me know when you have the chance. You should be able to send me an e-mail through The Armory or just post a reply. (I'm interested in buying all of it including the monitor, maybe not the case since it's been "basterdized" lol.
  9. Not flaming, but I've had my G15 for over a year now and I haven't seen any input lag. Also the keys are not painted, the silver bezel is and the paint does wear off where you've been resting your hands. I also can't believe anything that has came out in the last 7 years is still using USB v1.0 (especially since USB v1.0 got replaced when Windows 98 came out), but I could be wrong. As for the customer support... don't know, haven't had to call them on a product that works perfectly.
