April 10 Starts Ghost Recon Year 2 Content
Hey Everyone, A new free patch is coming out on April 10 including the Sabotage Mode and 1 new PVP class. Looks like they are planning for one more year of updates, but it'll be limited to 4 larger updates (both PVE and PVP). Looks like Ghost Recon just got a tiny bit more life while we search for the next great PVP experience. Ghost Recon Wildlands on Xbox One, PS4 & PC | Ubisoft (US) GHOST-RECON.UBISOFT.COM Get Ghost Recon Wildlands and experience the game that blazed the path for Ghost Recon Breakpoint. Enter a vast open world that challenges you to explore, discover cartel operations, and shut them down however you see fit. Use any combination of weapons, vehicles, and tactics to destroy the cartel’s assets, take out its bosses, and strike at the heart of its leadership. -RabidRebel

Did you know?
I'll add on... 6. If you're in a helicopter and fast travel to a location, the helicopter comes with you (e.g., you'll stay in it).

Did you know?
Just a few tips I picked up recently that maybe you didn't know about the game. 1. You can choose between single fire, burst fire, and full auto on most of your guns via the weapon selection menu (Q). Press the right mouse button when highlighting a weapon to change the setting. A small icon will denote which mode the gun is in near the center of the menu (one bullet, 3 bullets, 3 bullets with a line through it). 2. You can craft consumables via the ALT key in game. The speed and damage reduction ones are really nice for getting out of sticky situations. 3. You can melee people by dropping down on them Assassin's Creed style. Just leap off any object hire than your opponent and you'll bash their face in with your melee weapon. 4. You can chain and pistol melee once you've unlocked the appropriate perk. The game doesn't give instructions on how to do this, but if you start a melee in a group of people, you'll be given options (once the melee animation has started) to wither press W to chain attack another victim or hold the right mouse button to bust out your pistol and headshot another victim. It doesn't always come up, but if you can get the technique down, you'll be able to melee a group of enemies and earn those perk points for both types of melee attack. 5. (Probably already known) The take down melee option reigns supreme for taking out those nasty heavy units (flamethrower guys too!). You can hit these guys all day with a shovel, but if you get the take down option to pull up, it's a one hit kill. Saves you a lot of time trying to shoot the helmet off those LMG guys... Feel free to add-on any not-so-obvious things you've learned about the game!

Single Player Perks and PVP
Hey all, For those just getting a chance to dive in, do know that many of the in-game perks for single player apparently impact Far Cry Arcade (PVP). I don't want to give away too much, but these include being able to carry more ammo for guns and have better skills with certain guns. There is a reason to play through the single player before getting too deep into the PVP experience. -RabidRebel

Weapons Buying 101
Hey all, This isn't super obvious in the game, so I thought I'd share some spoiler-free tips on buying weapons and their attachments. Any weapon/vehicle in the game that you purchase in this game is a one-time ordeal. At any shop, you can summon any vehicle or equip any gun that has a yellow check mark on it's name. You should have a few right off the bat if you bought more than the standard edition. Moreover, you can also add permanent attachments to your favorite guns by buying those as well. I didn't notice this right off the bat, but if you right click on a purchase gun, it'll change the screen to let you select and buy attachments. Nice way to get yourself a silenced, scoped, pistol early on. Again, the attachments are permanent whenever you equip that gun from the shops. Just wanted to let you know there is a small bright side to those ridiculous prices on weapons/attachments in that they are a one-time fee! Look forward to continuing my flamethrower rampage with you all later! -RabidRebel

FarCry 5 Early Review -- Micro transaction warning
Well the review didn't cover the Far Cry Arcade -- the PVP portion. I would assume that the modes are separate so "pay to win" isn't a factor for that experience. It just looks like if you want a more complete arsenal for single player/co-op, you'll have to cough up some cash or your valuable time.

FarCry 5 Early Review -- Micro transaction warning
Hey all, SkillUp got an advanced copy of FarCry 5 for PS. He's played through the entire game and did a lengthy 18 minute review (I'd say some minor spoilers, but not many). TL;DR, great game, few, if any, repeats in quests, but marred by a micro transaction system that locks out many guns/cars/vehicles due to having to grind your ass off to afford anything using in-game currency. He said the micro transaction part didn't ruin the enjoyment of single player, but if you're a completionist, it's terrible. -RabidRebel

So bots in bf1.
An interesting idea, but after watching that video, there will definitely be some frustrating near aimbot-style headshots coming your way. They should take a look at Escape From Tarkov to see where AI can go really wrong, really fast. Granted, Escape from Tarkov has tuned down their AI opponents lately, but they are still ball-busting hard at times. Some of the original AI would guarantee head shot you in 1-3 shots /every time/ if they saw you.

Bug on Crash Update
Hope it works for you. I'm monitoring several Ghost Recon player groups and have not seen any other fixes for this issue yet.

Bug on Crash Update
Some folks are experiencing black screens on load up of the game after installing the new patch (or the game won't load at all). You need to clear your Ubisoft cache. This usually fixes the problems. You can find it under whatever directory you installed the program ../Ubisoft Game Launcher/cache. Just delete everything inside (or back it up elsewhere). It should fix the problem. Just letting you know. Saw this post in a Discord channel full of Ghost Recon players with some people experiencing the problem. The advice to delete the cache was from Ubisoft responding to one of the players.

Patch Notes for Update 4
It looks like the official patch notes are up for the new patch. Looks like Institute and Ruins are getting a change. The Tech will finally not mark himself on the map. Mine defusing is now a thing (finally a reason to be prone). Tons of bug fixes. Still no indicator of how to spend prestige credits beyond buying the new classes... although they updated how you earn them.

PC update delayed
I think we all knew that was going to happen. Two maps for a mode was not enough to make it viable. I was hoping for a larger set of new maps across all of the modes. I guess that'll have to wait until April, if the game makes it that long with Far Cry 5.

Update 4 -- Tomorrow!
The knock out grenades seem like they might be a bit OP, but I'm on board for seeing how it goes. The smoke screens will be sexy if they work as intended. Might give the medic a break too, if you can actually revive someone who gets killed in that hard-to-revive spot.

Update 4 -- Tomorrow!
Sorry... missed the other tweet. It's for CONSOLE ONLY tomorrow. They will be releasing for PC later.
-
Update 4 -- Tomorrow!
3 new classes (including smoke grenade drone!), two new maps, and map voting.

Axlerod Gets 4 Mortar Kills...
We try to get as many people on as possible at the same time, but it doesn't always work out (life, family, work, etc.). The majority log in around 6 to 6:30 PM EST and stay until around 10 PM EST. There is also a crew that plays a bit earlier (~3-4 PM EST) for an hour or two. The more folks we can get to login at the same time, the better chances there are for a full squad or even two. I know we have enough players in the clan to support two squads or even three. I can usually get coerced to playing with our even later crowd for a round or three (11 PM EST and later). And if it's just us "goobers" please let us know you want to squeeze into a round. We do cycle people in and out when we have just one extra person hanging around.

Axlerod Gets 4 Mortar Kills...
What's a shame is that despite your 8-1, Rhino and I got to see AngryOIFVeteran go 12-0 in a match with the Sentinel at up close and personal ranges, after you left. Should have stuck around for the real show .

Starting Today: Ghost Recon Network Challenges (PVP and PVE)
And here I was trying to keep it positive. I agree on the likelihood the suspicious players will destroy any hope on reaching Top 10. But, maybe they will use this opportunity to take a closer look at the players who are wall banging with any gun and aimbotting to a squad wipe.

Starting Today: Ghost Recon Network Challenges (PVP and PVE)
Hey all, Caught this on the Ubisoft launcher today. It was an article posted that they are running PVP and PVE challenges this week. The Top 10 players for each platform (separately for PC, PS4, XBOX) will get major rewards. The current challenges are running from March 2 to March 8. You have to be a Ghost Recon Network member (the webpage) to participate. Below are the parameters for each challenge. Good luck to Sharps65, COVAH, and the rest of you on the PVP one! I know I don't have a prayer at Top 10 KDR. Of course, you must follow several rules to respect the spirit of the game: You have to be a Ghost Recon Network member. You must respect the specific rules and the other players (we’ll be watching you). You can’t win more than two challenges in a row. You have to be a part of the Top 10. PvP Challenge: you must not leave the match if you want your score to be valid (otherwise, you play for nothing). [*]PvP Challenge: only for Quick Play and Ranked matches. If you respect these rules, you’ll get some exciting rewards, so seize the day! Every member of the Ghost Recon Network can join the challenges. To begin, here are two challenges that will last one week: [*]PvE: From Monday, March 2 to Thursday, March 8, you must kill the Predator as many times as you can. You have one week to be the one who killed the Predator the most often. The 10 best Ghosts win the Predator Pack or its value in credit. [*]Ghost War: From Monday, March 2 to Thursday, March 8, our teams will tally your kill/death ratio and the 10 best players win the Ghost War Crate Pack PVP Challenge: each platform has its own competition: that means there will be a Top 10 for PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system players, a Top 10 for Xbox One players, and a Top 10 for PC players. We’ll announce the results on the Ghost Recon Network and contact the winners to give them their rewards three days later. Now, prepare your game and be the best Ghost of the Network! –JACKAL, FROM THE GHOST RECON NETWORK
