  1. Cargohold is a map best used for teamplay. Earl showed me the map before he finalized it, hoping I would give him suggestions on how to make it better or whatnot. I think FA has enough "lone soldier" maps to meet everyone's need for a snipe-fest and one-on-one melees. If you say this map favors team play, then maybe it should be made into a team-play kind of map, because FA needs more maps like that to take advantage of the people we play alongside. We're either on the red team or the blue team, so why don't we act like a team and play together with coordination and strategy. I've seen it done many times on maps that don't favor teamplay nor loners. And when that team played as a team, they dominated and owned the other team. So I think maps like this one are what FA needs. A good mix of teamplay maps, shoot-em-up maps, and everything in between is the way to go. Perhaps you guys should give Earl suggestions on how to make the map more team-play oriented with objectives that favor teamwork and areas you can only get through and take over with the help of the rest of your team. Two or three maps like this wouldn't be so bad for FA. A little change from the norm is a good thing. Also, sorry I disappeared so suddenly. I got really busy when I stopped, with a full time job, then I got a better job and worked two jobs for a while, and I got my career off in the field I majored in in college, which left me with little free time except on weekends. But I do hope everyone is still having fun with FA, and I'm glad to see the TA clan is still functioning the same as it always did. This clan has been very good to me, so I have much respect for the senior members, like Mac. Don't diss a map because you don't like it. That's not helpful. Give the guy some suggestions what's wrong with it and how to make it better. That's called constructive criticism.
  2. For those of you who have CS Retail and used the Steaminstall w/ CS cache, I ran into a problem. "SteamProcessCall(WaitforAppReadytoLaunch) error 15:Cache read failure" would pop up when I try to update CS in Steam, and clicking the Yes button to proceed only brought me back to the same option over and over again. The STEAM forums on their website turned out to be a VERY helpful place. I would recommend that site if anyone else is having problems. Turns out 987345 people (I'm exaggerating, obviously) had the same problem. ONe person had the solution. Here it is:"what i did was Start steam and right click on "Counter-Strike", right click and go to properties. Now click "Delete Local Game Content...". Once its done with that double click on "Counter-Strike" again and it should download from content server."Worked for me, should work for you.
  3. I had this problem for my CS install, and I went searching for the solution and came across the Steam forums site. Found out that TONS of other people had the same exact problem as me, and one person had a solution. Just in case anyone else has this problem, I'll post the solution right here."What i did was Start steam and right click on "Counter-Strike", right click and go to properties. Now click "Delete Local Game Content...". Once its done with that double click on "Counter-Strike" again and it should download from content server."That worked for me. Maybe that'll help someone with the same problem.
  4. I like the fact you take requests and play them right away. Your buddy Raven is cool....I like the way she talks and says stuff! lol. I'm glad she likes metal, cuz then I can request metal songs all night!! :-)
  5. I was at home on the computer and on the phone with my cousin when everything shut down at 4:50pm, saturday. I didn't know the blackout was that widespread until I called my cousin again and he told me all the news flashes. But the blackout was no biggie to me cuz all I did was go outside and do some yard work. The power came back at 8:30am the next morning, as I was about to leave for some place. I been through worse blackouts before, like during the ice storm of 1993......lost power for about a week. So this one didn't phase me one bit.
  6. the game would be more fun if they made the characters you choose more useful. Like if you chose being a wizard, they should give you a big advantage for being a wizard and make that character very useful. More roleplaying characters is what the game needs so you have to be dependent on other players and not be the independent, all-skillful character that everyone is on that game right now.
  7. I totally agree with UnwantedHero on his points. I have been playing RS for close to 2 yrs now, but I stopped playing it on a regular basis a few months ago because I did all the quests and got my full rune armour and all that other stuff. So there's basically nothing more to do in the game. Plus, the server lags when it gets close to 1000 people. It's a good game when you first start playing it, but when you do everything that you can do in the game, it becomes boring.I agree that the creator needs to make the characters have some sort of role than just being good at every skill. I played RS before I got into FA, and when I started playing FA, that's when I started not to play RS cuz FA was better. If the creators make some drastic changes on how the characters work on the game and some other things, than maybe I'll play the game again. But for beginners and intermediate players, the game is pretty interesting.
  8. I know who you are, we're having fun now. We got in at about the same time, and we always use to play together. But, I hope you have a good time with your post-fa life. Maybe you'll keep in touch via the forums. Later, man...
  9. Yeah, Malakian has some family issues on his side, but my side of the family is fine. Although I haven't been on much cuz I've been busy with working and my video card (I found out) was tampered with when I had a new hard drive installed. So I'm gonna try to get this card replaced for free or something cuz the computer guys messed with it. I'm gonna try to make more appearances, so I'll be representing Malakian and myself and I'll keep things going for us. I'll see ya'll on the server and forums, and I'll keep ya'll updated on how Malakian is doing.
  10. welcome back, even though I didn't know you left.
  11. so that means a guy the age of gator or mac can't talk to a girl your age? That's wrong in itself. Anyway, I only talk about her to you whenever you bring her up. It's your fault in the first place, as always.
  12. That's easily done since I'm all the way on the other side of the country! DUH, Bullet!!
  13. I like Blythe! She's the best out of all of them!
  14. You're better off with Kazaa Lite cuz it doesn't carry all those spyware/adware stuff that regular kazaa has and attaches to your computer. I did hear about the new security update for regular kazaa, but if you update it, you'll get that spyware stuff installed as well. It's up to you what you wanna do.
  15. Bullet needs to pay more attention to forum postings, cuz she misses out on who leaves and who joins the clan.
