Been a long time since I posted on this board.

It doesn't mean that New Yorkers are less intelligent. I bet there were plenty of people reading books, hanging out with loved ones in the park. Or spending time in a bar, or any other place making new friends. Every New Yorker expanded their social intellect last night. There were plenty of things that didn't make the papers or News.

"Those" New Yorkers? Billboards arent really that big a thing when you have skyscrapers and tall buildings all over midtown.

I think the other thread already turned in to a political debate I made this thread so people could mainly tell their stories, not debate about anything.

The biggest blackout in history has occured throwing the Northeastern Portion of the U.S. and parts of Canada into darkness. This'll be the thread to share your stories I guess.I was on the 3 train in Manhattan, it's an express train so we were going fast. All of a sudden the brakes came on and the train stopped in 66th street which was a local station. Then an alarm went off and the lights in the station started flickering on and off as people on the platform ran for the exits. Me and the other riders on the train waited for about 45 minutes while the conductor and driver, along with two other MTA workers put down the air brakes. Then we were evacuated from the train by getting off from between two of the cars near the middle of the train, then we walked across the local track and were pulled onto the platform. From there I was faced with a walk from 66th street to 238th street. It took me 4 hours to get home.
