I'm happy to see that 1 or 2 people see the logic that comes with this map (I knew you'd like it, Mac :wink: ). I gave Earl a couple of ideas for Cargohold several months ago (like making the elevator fully functional). The idea we both sorta shared was the hope that it would kinda start a little bit of a positive trend in games like firearms, where people are exceptionally talented at moving a mouse and holding down the shoot button. That's kinda the reason I left FA... because it just got dull. Everyone seems to just want to play a bigger version of PS_Sand. "More Routes" means you want more areas to run around in have little "duels" with one or two people.... to see who's better at getting the X-hair over on top of the helmet. Do you not see the challenge? Get access to the elevator, and you can friggon have massive domination. And if the opposing team has access, you have to organize your team in a fashion that will prepare for a major onslaught. If that's no fun, then we all might as well abandon FA and go play CS all night. I'm bothered by the realism of such weapons in FA... yet the gameplay is so dull and 2-dimensional. Ah well.... that's why I started a band, and began to plan out a career...... I hope this map gets passed on to another mod, because it seems to me that it sets a good precident for future team-based maps. I dont know how the HL2 mods are coming along... but hopefully there will be one that can accomodate for maps such as Cargohold.... and maybe tactics will become a necessity. ~Evan

yay! I cant wait. I'll probably start the process tomorrow, if I get the chance. Most of my playing time wil probably come in the middle of the week. It's gonna be funny to see all the weird changes that have happened the the last couple FA Updates.

I've been thinking about making my return to FA (and gaming in general) in the summer maybe. I'm sure quite a handful of you old-timer's remember me. :wink: I'm not sure if I'll have the time, but it'd be nice to be a part of the FA and [TA] community once again. It's been a while. I never really stepped into 2.8 even... so I'd have to get everything set up on my computer again.... but I could do it. As My cousin stated above.... Runescape needs interdependance. Without it, it's only a faint dream of it's true potential. However to implement this, RS needs more than an update. These changes call for a MASSIVE OVERHAUL of the ENTIRE GAME. A rebirth........ cancel everybody's character and make them start over(maybe). And make them choose a role.... Once they choose a role.... make it difficult for them to level up in the other departments. Like... If your an Archer.... make it a LITTLE hard for them to level up in combat.... but make it VERY hard for them to become good smithers. Get the idea?WARRIOR - You excell in combat obviously. You kill characters and other players for profit. You exchange services with Cooks and Smithers. Offer protection in exchange for armour or cash. Team with Archers and Wizards to kill people and all that good stuff.MINER/SMITHER - YOU MAKE A LAWTA MAWNAY! Reel and Deal. Make armour, weapons, etc. Sell them and trade them for the services of wizards or warriors.WIZARD - The area that I think needs the most improvement. These guys need more spells that do different things. I'm sick of seeing purple blobs of goop shoot across the screen. Wizards should be able to act similar to archers, but with less combat abilities. However, in return they get the luxury of nicer things... like the ability to teleport, etc. RANGER/ARCHER - A Warrior with better long range abilities, but poor short range ability. Everyone HATES Archers in RS.... because they "Steal" kills. It wouldnt be like this if the Archers faced more of a risk. With the lower ability at close range, ranging would be improved.COOKS - YES! COOKS! THEY PLAY A ROLE! It's lame that every friggon guy in a bronze helmet can cook for himself. Cooks would play a big role. And there WOULD be people willing to play the role, I'm sure of it. If there was ever a low amount of cooks, then like a small amount of people would get MAJOR business... and I'm sure that would deter some people from staying with warrior and miner roles.Runescape sucks now. It needs an "economy" of sorts. But it aint happening any time soon.

I'd love a T4. The ending is WIIIIDE open on T3. It'd be interesting to see how it all goes down on T4. I hope they get it out quick though.... before Arnold gets too fat.

Ah, it'll be fine. thing's are just changing for some people. People all live different lives. Some people (Bulletface, Flak Magnet) have been around forever, and wont likely leave(knock on wood). My cousin's still around, as he already stated. And yeah, his side of the family is fine... except the fact that everyone never pays attention to what he says, and they give him a hard time every 5 seconds.

Yeah.... another blockbuster step-down. My generation of members is dropping like flies, is it not? It's just time for me to move on guys. What else can I say? My health problems have went away, but family problems have tripled. And once that ends, I'll be the man of the house... and when the hell will I have time to play then??? Lately I've been busy with school, family issues, and some other personal issues. I'll barely pass my Sophomore year because I was really only able to take 2 courses while I had cancer. I'll likely go to summer school as well. Plus I'm making major plans as far as meh moozik goes.

Well, my hair just started growing back, but no sign of any gray. My hairline has quite the 'V'.... just my German roots showing I suspect.
