  1. Armory great server. My opinon changed about a few of their players near the end but their leadership, longevity and how to run a server was excellently done. Great game FA - hopefully something similar will appear on source.

the glaring difference eclipse is, mega was caught, armstrong is only disputed besides he's won the TDF tons of times he didnt just appear on the circuit out of nowhere and turn into a cycling god.(haha) the ironic thing about mega doing that thing with solo (he did it deliberately apparently). Your assuming someone who has intimate knowledge of how to code around and get past blocks in a games code that they would never use that knowledge to gain an advantage against other players. With zero chance of being caught and in the full knowledge that other players were making use of similar illegitimate advantages against him. Nah he doesnt up the stakes to gain a level playing field..... he has honor and wouldnt cheat in a videogame. So he has the knowledge but he never uses it wow what a guy. My recommendations to a player starting a new online multiplayer fps would probably get deleted by a mod. The truth hurts.
  3. well i will agree with the single shot thing. i can ss fine but certain clan players can switch between ss and auto very quickly on the move and are always mobile thats a good skill to learn i guess. Would still say that bullet registry is very important as well...it doesnt matter if your aim is perfect if the shots dont register. edit* hrmm im actually quiting this game....in a couple of days. Klink you want advice? Players in your own clan who should be able to give you great "advice" : Josh and Punisher amongst a few others. you should prolly tell your admins bout this http://forums.firearmsmod.com/showthread.php?p=1588725#post1588725
  4. lol.. you should have been around in 2.5 you could honestly say there were great players then that decimates teams singlehanded. (without any of this shoot run away reload...or svd rushing you get nowadays) 2.5 is classical fa combat.
  5. for being a great player and not just good or average then its.. 40% - knowing ppl who can help you with stuff 15% - game knowledge, maps, best positions etc 35% - fa/hl engine/settings knowledge 10% - having good reflexes and aiming at head.
  6. i know he rarely plays on your server but you guys going to ban puuko?
  7. played eclipse (same guy?) on a euro server hes ok i guess....

OK some of that quite good Yes use team8s as buffer zones. I was once right beside/sort of in front an enemy clay when a team8 ran onto it. He shielded me totally and i lived (which was a surprise) Also try to remember names of your team and where they go. That way you can see who dies/ where they are so you can see what position is comprimised. Dont avoid the guys with high k:d ratios. If you cant kill them with aim kill them with intelligence. clays, manouevre behind them, when they are reloading etc, surprise etc etc. You'll find some players who only practise aim are really quite poor at tactical play. tip for cqb. The person who shoots last usually wins always use heal during combat. if a sniper kills you always make them your first target next. one advantage of a sniper killing you is that, it gives away their position and they usually stay in the same place. Dont join the stacked team. If you want to learn quicker you should be playing against the hardest team. You will rarely find me on the same side as s^d members (but thats just because i get my kicks from killing them) They normally all go on the same side. Then when the map is nearly over they both switch to the other side *laff* A good motto to go by is " If a weapon annoys an enemy USE IT MORE" i think hud_fastswitch still works for changing weapons quickly. skills: get nomenclature and battlefield agility. quick reloads and massively increased manouverability, longer sprint and increased tactical options. p.s. there is no such thing as retreat only tactical outmanouevring. e.g. basically its all about making the enemy fight you on your terms not theirs. gl
  10. it was more S^D vs delta.... mainly unprovoked. Watching Discovery channel...hrmm lets see its about how a pack of hyenas stalk and bring down their lone prey.
  11. i suspect some of the SC havent heard about this. its prolly a temp ban, still quite surprised at this though. one of the reasons i no longer play on TTP was because of the way they adminned. Way way back it used to be ok. (but i think they lost their way somewhere in the long night of various RCs) and i actually do like playing against ripper. i like playing against most competitive players.
  12. 3.0 probably the best version in a long while....manages to rejuvenate an old old mod. Dont dislike anything. Vengeance is an excellent pub map. Nice alternation in map play. Now can you add in ps_hoboken2 (or 3?) :o
