Alright, I may be the only one around here who really cares about the Super Smash Brothers series. Both the original on the N64 and Melee on the Gamecube are on my list of my favorite games ever. Naturally I was ecstatic to hear about Super Smash Bros. Brawl when it was announced last year. I'm also really excited to see the December 3, 2007 launch date with it.

But just today, something happened on the official Smash Bros. website that made my excitement level reach a new level. Here's what I was excited about.

Sonic in Smash Bros. Brawl!

There has been speculation of his appearance within the Smash Bros universe due to Solid Snake from the Metal Gear Solid franchise being in the new Smash Bros. Crew. Today, however, the rumor and hopes have been confirmed. Now, for people like me, who have argued with other gamers who would win in a fight, Mario or Sonic, can finally settle the dispute lol.

Like I said...I'm probably the only one who cares about this .

ive played the both games before and they arent bad games at all its just I dont have any nintendo systems.

Am I the only one who is actually upset with this news?

SONIC?!

What a lame addition. -.-

no you're not the only one, trust me, i'm just as pissed. nintendo + sega = NEVAR SHOULD HAVE HAPPENED i grew up with a nintendo Vs. Sega rivalry, good healthy competition is whats missing from today's industry :/ all it is now is basically microsoft Vs. Nintendo (since sony FAILED yet again) but still sega and nintendo should NEVAR mix.
Upset?! No, this is awesome. Sonic had a great series of platform games when the Sega-Nintendo rivalry was its hottest and now we get them both! No Taco, you are not alone in excitement over SSBB; however, there was a bit of bad news to go along with Sonic...SSBB has been delayed in Japan and probaby North America
Actually Taco ur not the only one i've loved the series since the N64 and i will be gettin Smash Bros. Brawl for the Wii along with Mario Galaxy. Nintendo games rock always have and always will:D

Where did you see that? I just checked IGN.com and their release date for the US is still Dec. 3, 2007. Japan's release date is Jan. 24, 2008 though.

I dont know why you say sony failed again the ps has been great I though it was better than the xbox and with the ps3 now it might not have all the cool stuff the 360 has but it is still an awesome console:D
well you saw this was getting delayed til Feb right? hopefully they add another char or 2 and put in some more options and stuff... gamespot mentioned some "user-related content" whatever that is

Yeah, I just saw the release date get pushed back today. There will be a lot more characters. They're just announcing a few that are probably not hidden. Super Smash Bros. Meele had a large amount of characters that were unlocked that most people didn't know about so they're gonna do the same for SMBB.
