The *real* cities

I thought it was pretty interesting to see what these places looked like in real life.

NIce Dude. Cool pics man.
I didn't see too much resemblance to those maps. Cerbere Landing, I can see on the beach pic the orange roofs like in the map. Thats really the only distinct thing I saw.
They probably used different exact locations than those originally posted, they also had to add some creativity to make sure the maps were balanced and promoted good gameplay (lol).

Yep, it's pretty cool

You can't expect the maps to be the same, because, as sharp said, they would most likely be imbalanced. Also, it's 135 years in the future :)

Cerbere Landing from Google satellite. Shows the orange roofs and the same kinda buildings.

Gibraltar, shows the ships in the water.

Tunis Harbor. This one's cool and shows the railway boxcars and the ships.

Nice post. To be honest, it never occurred to me that the maps might be actual places (cept for Berlin).

:D huh really? :p
Ya really. I thought it was all futuristic towns and such. Guess I'm geographically challenged. Bonus points if you can tell me where Cedar Falls, IA is.
I always liked that feature of the battlefield series. In BF1942 they had all the big battles and the layouts were spot on, I wish they would create a new BF based on WW2. The 1942 games were a lot more fun because it was more shooting and less rockets/grenades and no revives, flying was a blast and even the naval warfare was fun if you had patience. There are too many lame ways to die in 2142 which allows the noobs to do well.

Most Americans can't find the city next to their's on a map. Probably because they don't have maps. :D

Canadian maps actually show mosquitoes, they're that big. :(
