October 29, 200718 yr Ok just wondering what you all think is a hero or who do you consider a hero to be. Just throwing this out. I put it in Main hall so everyone on forums can have a say. I will tell what mine is in a bit. but please everyone lets go
October 29, 200718 yr A hero to me is someone who is willing to risk their life for anyone that is in danger no matter what race, religion, etc. thats what I consider a hero:D
October 29, 200718 yr Nice thread btw. Anyone that helps someone else unselfishly is a hero. I can't imagine running into battle to save someone or running up the stairs of a burning 110 story building to save people I don't know. You Bravo, Weihe, BNelly, Warfighter and anyone I missed and whomever else is at war are heros to us behind in safety. You may not think of yourselves as heroes but you are.
October 29, 200718 yr My definition of a Hero Hero: a person who affects certain people in a possitive way to help bring up ones spirit. Or, a hero can be a dear loved one that is appreciated by few. It is all in the eye of the beholder. In all i think it is someone who touches our lives in a possive or motivational way. Not that i know anything. Or to be able to fly or move things with their mind. lol Good Post Bravo, you da man!!

A hero to me is someone that completely disregards their own confort zone their own safety and well being in order to protect those people that cant protect themselves or any others that didnt have the opportunity to protect themselves. Whether it be civilain or military I believe a hero is someone that goes above all notions of normal and does the extrordinary in the face of known and serious consequences. A hero to some like a homeless man on the street that is one day away from starving to death may be the person that gives him a meal. it can be simple like that or the firefighter saving ten people from a burning building and dying in the proccess. Its hard for me to put an exact definition on it but i tried LOL!

After being in the military I see a hero as being someone that would help those who need it people who are willing to put there life in harms way to help another. Above all some one who goes Above and Beyond the call of Duty while in any of the Services be it police,military,firefighters,Doctors. And no I do not consider myself a hero all I did was go to another country to uphold the constitution of the US in operation enduring freedom. It was my job. And before I forget All service members who are awarded the Medal of Honor there the hero they went above and beyond the call of Duty
