Just curious what your guys in game names are? The game came out today so me and Jairyn have got a chance to make our toons last night.

hellgate is diablo all over again. multiplayer coop fun. item hunting. hordes of demon slaying.

But there is the feeling that hellgate does seem kinda rushed. Set items, uniques, extra classes. all that garbage only for subscribers? sounds like an excuse to release a 3/4 done project....and sponge a little more cash.

I've got 3 going atm. I'll be playing all weekend. Look me up or send me a tell on Xfire so we can maybe hook up in game. Both Darxan and I are spending our time there.

I have a private Vent server that I use for gaming with buddies. Any of you are welcomed to join. I'd use TAC's Vent but I have buddies who aren't in the clan that play other games with me and it's the only way we can chat. Send me a PM in-game or through Xfire if you want the Vent info.

Also, I plan on being a subscriber and I'll be looking at creating a guild. Not sure what name I'll use. That way, anyone that is looking at playing HGL and wants a group to hang with will have an option. It won't be anything hardcore, just a guild of gamers that are wanting to group together.

 

Is this game like diablo where you go out with parties I assume then?

Yep, you can either solo the game or group up. Mobs scale depending on how many people there are.

 

Eventually, they plan on adding raid style content (instances that need more than 1 or 2 people) for subscribers.

Level 20 on my blade master now. Running around with two level 17 legendary lightning swords too, hehe. =)

sounds like fun. i love rpg's and ranking and finding cool new weapons and stuff but i'm just waiting for cod4. there's only so many gaming hours in the day!

I am getting it soon. I feel like I am falling behind! But then again, Nadril is a nub so I know that I can catch up with him pretty quick (as long as I don't make a new character before I catch him, as I like to do every few days )

Don't trust the demo, there's a lot of stuff they had to leave out of it in order to make it small enough to download. It doesn't have DX10 features and it's very limited in content. Not to mention it doesn't have the latest fixes and features.

 

It shows you how the game will play, but don't base the game off the demo's content.

I just made a new marksman, almost level 10. I messed up a little bit on my blade master build, and trying to level with an evoker is a pain. (I take ALL the damage and I'm not a tank).
