Ok so im on the Armory conquest server and Im running round with my clark shotgun and I turn a corner and theres a guy I fire point blank into the guy's chest and he doesnt go down and he ends up killing me. So i just say probably got him down to 1 health. Well im in a hell of a fight with three other i kill 2 of them and turn to shot the other guy and he fire my shotgun at his head but in the process i get kill but i distinctly heard my shotgun go off. So im saying what the hell but keep on playing. This happened to me 4 more times before the round was over. now i dont know if there is a lag time or something between the sound of my gun and the actual shot being made but it was getting really annoying. So has anyone else had this happen to them?

Yes, and I think the firing of it is just a timing issue and bug in Battlefield. It seems to happen to me when I die at the same moment, but the shotgun going off must be a bug and it is not actually firing.

So i have a clip with a blank in it....Well if anyone would know its Cusso.

Happent to me every day/battle but i know that the reason at me is PING.cheers

man that sort of thing happens to me all the time with my sniper rifle,i point on guys head click then nothing guy remains and i'm like.....

same thing k_town thats why i dropped the sniper rifle and picked up the shotgun, but it looks like the only sure fire weapons are the assualt rifles and rocket launchers.

i can never drop the SR for too long it's my bread and butter

All i know is this better not turn into the same problem that Americas Army has.

Other thing too to watch for is how your grpahics card and processor is handling it. I am running on a cheaper video card and slower processor, but noticed a HUGE difference when I was playing on my friends ultimate system. Where I would normally hit ppl he was able to get better zoom/close ups then I can and compaing side by side I was like wow - cant wait for my upgrade =P Also the best thing for the shotty is legs or face - chest shots usually require 2 close shots.

Even though lately I have been using assault I usually just use the shotgun. Just be prepaired to shoot another slug into them. I've gotten so used to the shotgun I can pretty much tell when you don't need another shoot. Just ask Cossu it's like an instinct hahahaha. The same thing happens to me when I die it's just a sound glitch probably happens to everyone. If you shoot like right before you die the gun will go off but nothing will happen.

It's like when you throw that nade right before you die and it magically disappears...Just a part of the game, you start to get used to it after awhile.

happens all the time, because your projectiles usually dissapear when you die (ever seen that grenade leave your hand to be shot, killed and it dissappear? yeah, same thing.. you hear the shot.. the shot is in air, you get killed, the shot dissapears. this happens in a millisecond..

its just 2142 in general its a real buggy game. maybe play cod4 or something lol.
