Oil prices have reached another new record high, amid concerns over tight fuel stocks and a weak US dollar. US crude oil rose to $96.44 a barrel before

Oil is Outraged Now Im Paying $3.20 a Gallon few days ago i payed $2.79 A gallon :D

I try to ignore gas prices, the less I think about them the better. Having said that, I am not to upset, gas prices will always continue to rise(and during some years they increase a lot). We still pay less per gallon than a lot of other countries, and we "abuse" it the most(ie soccer moms with Hummer's). Plus I get 45mpg+ with my motorcycle :D .

The main futures contract, light sweet crude for delivery in December, jumped $US2.72 a barrel to close at a record high $US96.70 a barrel in New York. WOW
I'm glad, the higher fossil fuel prices will force us to develop green energy. The only reason we've continued to use oil is because it's cheaper than other forms of energy like hydrogen fuel cells, eventually green energy will cost less.

that's true but how long will we have to go like this before that will ever happen.

Mopeds are fun, but I wouldn't necessarily call them "motorcycles."
I've seen I'm pretty sure 4.12$ a gallon here where I live... the average Iv'e seen is like in the 3.60$'s. :D its just gonna get worse...

$4.12 was probably full service, cause those lazy Kalifornians need it.
thank god i havent had to look at the gas prices in a year cause out here its just pull up and fill up its all free and I am guessing the war has alot to do with it.
With my job the higher oil and gas prices go the easier it is for me to afford it. Less money for the average consumer means more money for tilgado. Muh wah ha ha... that's the best I could do for an evil laugh, sorry.
heck i go about 5 blocks to work and about 1 mile to the sitters and back before work and just that little bit is like 30$ in gas every week,it's straight crazy
it takes 120+ bucks for me to fill up sometimes twice a week. but thank god i havenet had to since my work slowed down but it'll jump back to crazy busy after the new year:(

er... Walk? maybe if all you americans didnt drive huge 3liter+ V6+ cars.. you wouldnt have to fill up every 100 miles..

It costs you Around 80cents per litre, that means by our standards, it would cost you $2 per litre after tax at current rate equivalent to here..

thats $8 per gallon..

now imagine driving your 4.8litre V8...

Now this simple equation.. Smaller engines = need less fuel, = cost lest to fill up per month..

in essence, what i am trying to say is stop whining about your fuel prices, you have some of the cheapest in the world.

I agree with you, SUV's are 90% pointless. I think we need to start offering Euro version cars here in the states, that way we can get a lot of diesel options and more economical petrol(just for you shotty :) ) cars.

aye.. smallest engine size i saw whilst in the US lookin around was a 2litre..

you can get as small as 1 litre here and they are ultra economical, most often without sacrificing performance (subaru anyone?)

diesels are getting ultra sporty too and still pushing 55mpg (have a Golf GTTDi on an 06 plate) and it sits very sweetly at 190bhp, with over 330ft/lbs of torque.. and if i drive frugally, i can just about push 60mpg.. even if i rag the hell out of it i still dont get much less than about 38
