These are the reasons why it's been increasingly harder to continue playing this game: Why did they decide to nerf guns that didn't require any changes? There is definitely a drop in damage and increased recoil in the lambert carbine among a few of the others rifles. I won't mention specific guns because it's not necessary. Also, the server has been crashing more with this latest patch that focused on increased "server stability". I played yesterday to help get the server started and I have to admit I have more fun playing solitaire. The game is down right boring! This game has less guns, very few useful unlocks, and the same boring maps. The whole "future" concept just didn't work out. I had triple the amount of time logged in BF2 as opposed to BF2142.

 

It takes them 6 months to get a patch out, and it still fails to deliver anything useful. They make changes to satisfy their own needs and don't give a darn what anyone else thinks. With new games coming out such as Call of Duty 4, Crysis etc.. this game just doesn't bring any competition to the battlefield. It was fun when it first came out, but lacked replayability. While this game does have a good buddy system and great teamwork, the the cons outweigh the very few things this game did right. This game was a huge step down from BF2. It seems like they took BF2, hacked off large chunks of the game and put in the new models/skins. Unless they make some serious changes for BF3, EA is going be in some serious trouble.

Yeah I think I am done with it only because of the hassle with the latest patch...BF2 and CoD4 for me...

I've always loved 2142 even with all the problems but if you guys stop playing theres no reason to go on, I'll be forced to switch to BF2 and COD4. I only have a few hours on my BF2 soldier so I guess it's time to start playing.

The thing i don't like is 2142 500hrs rank maxed out BF2 almost 2000hrs and still several ranks to go. BF2 is better than 2142. CoD4 is great and Crysis i'll tell u once i install it and play it.

BF2 was great! The jets were my favorite.

 

2142 was fun but they took out the jets which was weak.

 

I been playing cod4 a lot which is addicting. Hardcore mode is crazy on some servers where poeple are good.

 

regular mode is okay but I rank up better in hardcore mode.

 

I may get crysis soon but not really feeling it.

Uninstalled this on November 6th. Just BF2 and COD4 for me.

I like SF best of all games mentioned. I don't think I'm alone.

I have SF but most of the 2142 guys I usually play with don't. If more of us bought it we could get our SF server popular like 2142 City, it gets boring when theres only 10 ppl on the server.

 

I think I never got hooked on BF2 because I didn't use VOIP back then, now that I realize how much better BF is with VOIP I'll have more fun.

SF is great for urban combat, but I love the jets and helicopters of BF2 and how they were actually more useful there. There was nothing more fun than chasing (or being chased by) Impact to try to kill him. Ace pilot, he is.

 

I miss BF2 (moreso, playing it with you guys) a lot sometimes, but I don't miss the nade spam. That's the only thing that frustrates me about the game anymore.

I am such a newbie! I really liked BF 2142... but again, I had nothing to compare it to... I am learning from you all and look forward to playing CoD4 and Crysis and BF2 etc. with you all... good gaming, see you online and in-game!

Ya, I updated 2142 on Wed. and tried playing today with no luck. It crashed everytime I try to connect to the server....What a peice of ****.........
