December 12, 200717 yr Since both COD4 and BF2142 have been essentially f-ing up for a lot of people it got me thinking. Do you think the corporations that produce the games made them dysfunctional on purpose in the hopes of driving up sales on OTHER video games for Christmas?
December 12, 200717 yr i think anythings possible and when it comes to conspiricys of the govt. or corps i'd believe anything
December 12, 200717 yr I havent had any problems with COD4 but I think that games just get released before they are fully done because producers want to meet the set release date.
December 12, 200717 yr I...I think that games just get released before they are fully done because producers want to meet the set release date. I agree. Release dates, as well as sales & fiscal quarters and margin quotas are a huge influence on getting the game out at or by a certain date. Consider also that the PC is an incredibly varied format. Console games can be released with far fewer bugs, since there is a consistent end-user platform. So many people are doing home builds, that the possible combination of components in PCs make it impossible to ensure that a product works flawlessly with every possible configuration.
December 13, 200717 yr well not sure if i wanna believe that but just like some of you say with the gov and corp. anyting is possible lol:D
December 13, 200717 yr in all actualness the game selection for this coming up holidays is very weak and very much lacking due to early release of games b4 holidays (ie. halo) or just not a wide selection of quality games. this christmas bores me -G
December 13, 200717 yr I havent had any problems with COD4 but I think that games just get released before they are fully done because producers want to meet the set release date. i agree as well. in the gaming industry its all about the deadline, so some things are rushed. cod4 overall is a GREAT game. bf2142 its good but has a large amount of issues. another really good game is mass effect for 360. all games will have issues on release, but the ability to make the user overlook those small problems due to great gameplay or storyline (using suspention of belief), is what truely makes it a great game.
