Posted February 28, 200817 yr Crude Oil Hits New All Time High $102.54 a Barrel And its gonna get Much Worse its Possible Gas Prices could Hit $4 a gallon and Could go as high $7.50 a gallon by Summer
February 28, 200817 yr i doubt it would get to 7.50 who would buy it? at 3.50 the us demand for oil has hardly decreased There is some point that it will go done But I hate hearing people complain so much about the price and continue to buy the same ammount. If it sucks so much change your habits.

If you complain about it then go out and buy a hybrid if it bothers you that much. Yes it sucks at the pump every 2 weeks for me but that is why i only drive to and from work. 16mi everyday

If I had it I know I wouldnt need it but still use it
February 29, 200817 yr It will be hard for people to change some habits. We need to drive, so we will pay whatever the prices is and then complain. I don't drive much either because I am in college. But I know that for my family has to drive to work every day. They don't have guzzlers, but the increase in prices hurts everyone. I hope this help push people to push their lawmakers to do something. Alternate fuels. Ethanol, hydrogen (my favorite), or air. Choices = competition (excluding telcos) Check out the pneumatic car stuff, pretty neat. http://zeropollutionmotors.us/
February 29, 200817 yr There's an economics theory -- I can't remember its official name right now -- that says people will continue to buy something until it becomes cheaper to buy something else. In this case, we're gonna keep on usin' gasoline, even if it's 6-7 dollars a gallon, because it's cheaper, and more easily accessible, than any other alternative. Just gonna have to suck it up, and keep on carpoolin'.
February 29, 200817 yr I think you are talking about an inelastic supply curve, similar to monopoly power.
February 29, 200817 yr I think you are talking about an inelastic supply curve, similar to monopoly power. inelastic demand curve the price has little effect on demancd We should use alternatives mainly nuclear power + electric car
February 29, 200817 yr Last time i filled up was $45...i'll be deploying this summer though. Might have to worry about gas prices
February 29, 200817 yr wow thats a lot per barrel and i guarntee that the oil companies still make billions of dollars in profit.

February 29, 200817 yr -OMG!! OMG!! THIS TRULY IS THE END OF DAYS!!!! BUILD YUORSELF A BOMBSHELTER AND STOCK UP ON CANNED BEETS!!! AAAHHHHHHHH!!!!
February 29, 200817 yr WHINE MORE ABOUT OIL PRICES but know in the back of your mind they are that high because the US GOVERNMENT (yes thats right) isnt pumping your californian and alaskan oil as much as they could..
February 29, 200817 yr I was paying around $300/month to drive 100 miles r/t to work. As of December, I joined a van pool costing $35/mo and my fuel bill was cut down to less than $100/mo. I win!!!! If there's one issue that I agree with Obama (don't mean to stir the political pot) it is that Exxon is not going to easily give up their $11 billion profits without a fight. They will push lobbyists in Washington to the extreme to keep what they have. Exxon may not (exactly) set the price for oil prices, but they sure are not complaining. I worked in corporate aviation for many years, even on ExxonMobil's aircraft. As of two years ago, they owned a fleet of over 70 private aircraft (i.e. jets and helicopters) with many more on order.
