My 60GB Vision W is the BOMB!! I have about 9 full length movies, about 5,500 songs, alot of pix and still have about 13 gigs left over. It is so much more flexible on formats that the Apple stuff. The only thing I wish it had was Bluetooth for headsets, and your Bud Light of course.

9 MOVIES! Is that all you can fit? That stinks, I guess I'll have save up for the 160GB Archos WiFi. I thought 60GB would at least get me 50 moves at maybe ~1GB a piece, with the right compression format. I guess I was wrong. How big is a movie?

I'll buy you a Bud Light when I see you.

Movies usually take up from one to two gigs on mine. Typically in between about a gig and a half.

I can fit a whole bunch more. 9 is all I have recently viewed. Each of my movies are 700 MB. Theoretically I could fit close to 80 movies if that's all I wanted. I use Fair Use Wizard (the limited edition is free) to rip my DVDs. It normally takes about 3 hours to rip one. Excellent vid quality and no audio lag.

Looks as though this program may do Iphone movies as well.....

I have 80gb ipod video, i mostly use it for music. The main reason I got the ipod is that i spend tons of time in my car, so my stereo head units all have ipod adapters which make it convenient for me.

I use AVSVideoTools to convert DVD rips to the iPod. I use more than one step, I rip using Anydvd, then take just the main title with DVDShrink, then use AVS converter to convert to m4v. It takes ~25 with Anydvd, ~15 with DVDShrink, and ~60min with AVS converter for a ~2hour movie. My m4v files come to about 750MB. I've only done 4 movies so far. I'm gonna do every episode of Futurama and Bender's Big Score as soon as I get the chance. I have 6 days off in the second week of april so I'm gonna be busy! Bummer AVS convertor only uses one core. If it used four that would be awesome! ~20minutes to convert a movie, I hope they code for multicores in the next build.

Is there a format that the iPod will play that will make the files even smaller?

i'll be getting one for X-mas or my Bithday

Ah, Bithday, makes me think of Starwars. Good times, good times.
