March 16, 200817 yr Author Well I'm over the whole "what's the next best card?" I've two 8800GT cards and that's good enough for me. Even one of these cards would be good enough for me. If it weren't for some scheduling conflicts and my lack of short term memory, I'd only have one. But newegg's rma policy calls for no return on factory overclocked hardware. Now I have two killer cards! My big thing now is "what's the next best mother board?" Want to oc my Q6600 to ~3.2 on air with out upping the vcore and my mobo is not capable of this. Its said that some P35 and X38 boards and the 780i, are capable of this. We'll see what the X48, P45, and the other 45 variant boards can do. Best case scenario old 'best of the best' gets cheaper, cheap killer stuff is ok by me. See what I mean, I can't shut up!
March 16, 200817 yr I think with these new 9 series coming out it doesn't seem to be too much of an increase in the processing power from what i've heard so far. I can probably get another 8800GTX and setup for SLI and blow those cards out of the water. With the new 9 series slowly coming out all 8 series cards should come down in price.
March 16, 200817 yr Yes this is true Ding...I think they should have waited longer to bring something better to the table. Nvidia may have shot themselves in the foot with the new 9 series. But hey...that's just me and my opion.

But hey...that's just me and my opion. too shot themselves in the foot they have to do something that makes it worse for them ati in my mind hasnt really even been in the game since their 9 series cards maybe the x800 but nothing they have had has competed with nvidia lately the 3870 is a decent card and priced right but they have nothing competitive out sure nvidia might have fumbuled on the 2 yard line but ATI isnt even on the field
