Ok... Looking to set the (current 56player instance) COD4 server to run some custom player made maps. There is a HUGE mapping and mod scene for COD4 as it stands (Awe mod anyone?) and personally, as well as with a few others, i feel that it would bne nice to try.

 

So.. Primarily this thread is about 1 thing.. CUSTOM COD4 MAPS.

 

If you have any recomendations (played on them on other servers, seen something that looks good etc) Please post information here.

 

What I require,

 

• At very least the mapname. (in full... for example mp_convoy)
  
• More usefull would be a mapname and some info on the map itself.
  
• the map MUST support at very least Team Death match, and Domination game modes.
  
• A link to the map itself if applicable
  
• Whether the map was popular (did the server fill up or empty out when the map came on)

Also, if you know of any good mods worth a try (in the future possibly) post some info here

 

please please PLEASE try not to get into a discussion about what maps are good, bad etc here. simply post the links or info on maps you feel are good, so we can have a look at them and decide.

You download the map as it comes up in the cycle. We're able to host the files off of our own servers. The speeds are very good...unless you're me...everything related to download speeds suck for me.

I'd like to try it

I don't remember the name of the map but the one in the dark that forced you to use night vision to see and was full of shipping containers, that map was good fun.

 

edit: I'm trying to find a map name now. Maybe Gator remembers the name, it was on our rotation when we were testing some maps a few months ago.
