So there was an earthquake 5.2 in magnitude in southern Illinois. Even north of Indianapolis I felt it a little bit. I heard stuff vibrate on my desk at about 430 in the morning and felt stuff kind of shake. I just figured it was one of the steam pipes or something blowing off and just vibrating funny I was pretty surprised to hear that it was an earthquake in my thermo class this morning.

So who else felt the quakes?

I was about 150miles away

We did.. We're about 120 miles NW of the epicenter, and it shook us pretty good. USGS website states it was a 5.2 at the epicenter..

I used to live in southern California where earthquakes are a way of life. I was way down in an abandoned gold mine when a big one hit. I thought I had just fallen but it was an earthquake. Once I was at a friends sitting in a chair that had wheels when I found myself on the other side of the room. In western NC, I have only felt one and it just shook the house for about fifteen seconds. My son thought I had done something to cause the shaking. Glad it didn't cause much damage.
I live in WI and we felt it.Not me i'm too far north. But dang that's weird,to get a earthquake over here.Although we all know there is a fault right under us,you just kinda figure nothing is going to happen.Guess were wrong.

I woke up at 5.38am yesterday morning, and I was shaking a little. In my groggy state, I thought to myself: "Gee. This is odd. ... Oh well." and went back to sleep.

I'm actually jealous of wifey, 'cuz she was wide awake and at work for the whole thing -- I want to feel it! I'm hoping for an aftershock.
