My Hair is Frizzled...

Wowthose were the only words I could mutter last night as I looked out my window and out at the massive hurricane that was flying above our heads. We were just hit by hurricane juan last night at 1:50am. I woke up and looked out the window. Trees were doubling over, roof tiles were being blown into the air, and rain...the rain drowned the street with an inch thick layer of brown, dirty water. I was able to get to get back to sleep just after the power went out at 2:45. I woke the next morning to devistation. Trees were up rooted, one or two cars on my street were crushed by falling trees. Our bbq was smashed. Boats at the harbor were sunk. The harbor itself was twisted in a confusing way. Then by 11:00, the clouds went away and the tempature reached into the high 20s. It was easily one of the hottest days of the summer (it's autumn now, but it doesn't seem like it). Of course...the power still was out when I woke up. It's 5:00pm exactly now, and the power has just...like 2 minutes just...came on. I've been out all day with my dad and sister, driving around just looking at everything. My mom's a nurse so she had to goto the hospital to work. It's been confirmed that 2 people are dead from falling trees. One helicopter went down. The people inside injured severly. It's sad really, but I don't see how people could die in that. Sure it was bad, but it was just a class 1 hurricane. Pretty unlucky I would say.Well, anyways, just checking in and saying I'm alive and happy :DI just hope this doesn't affect my local Future Shop from getting their brand new copies of Halo PC!P.SSchool was closed because of the powerout, so that was also another reason to be happy, tehehe
