After much discussion with the other admins, and after seeing the discussions of the player base, we've decided to begin the Official Regular FAL Season 5. The current FAL 2008 Team Warz will continue for the last 2 maps, ps_deadline and ps_inlands. However, there will be no playoffs. The official start date for the Regular FAL Season 5 will be June 15th for a play map kickoff, and then June 16th - June 22nd is the official 1st week of Pre-Season.

 

The rules for FAL Season 5 are:

 

1. There is a limit to 10 players per team that can be signed up to play

2. Octinium will be required for all matches. (A download link and tutorial will be provided later on, before the season begins. Regular demos and screenshots are still required!!!)

3. All other current FAL rules.

 

-REMINDER- All players who wish to participate in any FAL Season MUST be familiar with ALL of the FAL Rules. Ignorance of the rules is NOT an excuse.

 

Since Octinium will be required for all matches, all previously banned players will be allowed to play in matches, however they are required to turn in their demos, screenshots, and Octinium avi files at the end of every match. I felt I needed to put this in here for further Clericfication...

 

The clan signup structure is as follows:

 

1. Clan name and abbreviation

2. Clan leader

3. Any other comments

the funny thing is i'm pretty sure i played in Fal season #4 and that was like 3 or so years ago

As always i wish you luck,however i doubt we'd beable to find 10 people to want to play that seriously.I'm just wondering how many clans are there still playing f-a?As of right now do you have at least a handful of teams?I seem to remember there being at least 10 or more ,if you don't at least have that many i don't see much fun in this.It'll be the people who never quit against the people who just started and geee i wonder who'll win.And watch them brag the whole way through.

Hey that's cool,i'm glad you all have something to do with your time:p

 

I used to love playing f-a some of my best memorys of online first person gaming is playing f-a.I wish it could be as simple as going backwards and replaying the ol' game but with all the games out today it would be very difficult to get enough people to play IMO.It would be like going back to playing super mario bro's,Great game and can still be fun in certain situations but i wouldn't play it full time anymore.

Hmmm, i might have to re-install HL1...

But might pop up again ^^

that's stupid, who cares who the "real" successor is - they're both two mods taking the original game in a different direction than each other. what's so wrong with supporting BOTH?

 

and yeah, there's i think 5/6 clans signed up right now. a TA clan with mac/radioactive hamster/his other son and all of those other old TA members would be totally awesome, but that's never going to happen.

I have no interest in FA2, fa:s maybe If it was ever released.

I have no idea whats going on with FA anymore. FA2, World at War, jungle mists, FA-Source, the other FA source, FA revival.... Which is freaking which????? I miss the game, I might even play it again, but im so confused atm
