My girlfriend and I live in the same hometown, but we go to college about an hour and a half away from each other, so we don't get to see each other much during the school year. Obviously, this is a problem. So the other day she was like,"Can we get video cameras for our computers and talk that way!?"

So I thought it was a splendid idea, so now its time to shop for webcams

So does anyone have any suggestions for a good one? I dont want to spend too much on these things but I don't want to get something that is gonna be cheap and blurry or pixely ya know?

Yeah, just pick up an HP one or something. I have one that actually has a surprisingly clear picture, and was pretty cheap.
I got mine from creative for around 50 USD and it works just fine. Sometimes it has difficulties adjusting the brightness based on certain odd background lightings, but it generally works ok.

ok thanks so far, and Underspy I'm buying two of whatever I get so she can have one.

anything specific?

Get one that has good low-light resolution. It will be less pixelated. At least an VGA 800x600 quality one. the 320x240 is for the birds.
