July 6, 200817 yr I was looking into tinting my car, but I have a few questions. First, I am probably going to get SnapTint. They have a full lifetime warranty and they seem to use some of the best tint around. My question is about the light transmission laws. In Virginia it is 50% light must pass through the front side and 35% on the back side and rear. So, if I buy 50% for the front and 35% back, will that be legal?
July 6, 200817 yr well again it depends on the state in south dakota u have to have 30% on front but theres a 2% gap so i have 28% on my front and 2% on my back.
July 6, 200817 yr Just ask the people at the tinting place for "VA Legal" levels. They already know how dark the windows can be.
July 7, 200817 yr if thats what percentage the law says then thats what you can get. i used snaptint to tint my car. the quality of the tint is great, but if you dont know what youre doing then youre gonna screw it up. the back window is especially tough to do by yourself. all in all though, if you take your time and follow the directions, you should be okay, not to mention the price is great.
