I would get the XBOX360 because of the games only from Microsoft that you can't get for the PS3. However if you have a decent HDTV (ie Samsung 600 series or higher, Sony Bravia XBR series or higher). I would get a PS3 because of the Blu-Ray capabilities. Both systems have the same amount of pros vs cons no matter which one you get i'm sure you will be happy and also don't forget that HDMI cord!! It makes a world of difference compared to component or dare i say composite hookups. Also Thomas you can play rebel's PS3 when he isn't around or just beat him until he lets you :p :D . I have a 360 myself i love it however i will have to buy a Blu-Ray player here soon as Walmart is marking down the Sony 300 series Blu-Ray players.

If you do get a PS3 the 80gig has backward compatibility support for some PS2 and PS1 games. There's quite a few cheap cool games for the PS2. If I had to pick I would go with the 360, titles are better overall, and you can wireless network your xbox to stream your divx movies on your widescreen TV from your computer- Huge bonus as far as I am concerned, but the PS3 may do this also I am not sure. The xbox does not come with a wireless adapter, so you would have to spring for that; whereas the PS3 has it built in. I guess it all depends on what you want to get out of it.
Sorry ding but Thomas is never playing it Main reason he doesn't share one bit other reason he is big tattle tail

okay you will never play it either considering we have no tvs for you to play it idiot. and you'll also never play it while you have F's in spanish and biology you freakin vegetable. and you'll also never play it because you already constantly game on the comp and your stupid little itouch. So i suggest you shut it you addicted gaming midget. :D You just "got told". Who even says that crap anymore?

This guys don't care what you think about methomas so jet delete it and say it to my face in stead of hiding behind and computer screen
as for you Premium the xbox 360 also has awesome skins you can get example:

sooo yea get it

:p -This is a small sample of what I mean by 'the xbox kids'...skins having an impact on getting a console?!? What place have I stepped into?!? WHAT IS GOING ON?!?

@Ding...Isn't composite where you hook two cups together with string?? :D

Not all PS3 has backward compatiblity with PS2. All 20s and 60s GB PS3s has PS2s Emotion Chip (CPU) and Graphics Synthesizer. Early 80 GB models only have the Graphics Synthesizer but no Emotion Chip (it's emulated). 40s, late 80s, and the 160 GB models have no backward compatibility with the PS2 (to lower the production cost). All PS3s have PS1 compatibility.

If you have a PS3, my PSN ID is ShadowWolf1978.

I heard the emulator was better than the Emotion Chip anyway; or is that just me hearing things? :D

Thanks peep!! I still got till sunday to decide so if anybody else knows something i dont, let me or us know...

THE PREM. :D

I don't think any of the the new PS3s are backwards compatable. But hey if you've got the games you probably have the console to go with them so no prob.

so this mean i can play PS1 games on it like Crash Bandicoot !!
u can if its backward compatible but that doesnt mean the game will work cuz it only does it for some of the games
The only PS3 that are backwards compatible are the MSG4 80 gig bundle. The new 120 gig is not. Oh I do believe the MSG4 bundle is no longer in stock anywhere. Which is a bummer....

haha i love those skins tho i dont have em. Right now im playing Rock Band 2, endless setlist(84 songs back to back) on expert guitar, and im on the 17th song so wish me luck haha:D

Other way around. Emotion Chip is the PS2s CPU. It's better to have the hardware than emulate it.

For $499.99, you can get the 160GB PS3 which is bundled with Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. Or, for $399.99, you can get he 80GB PS3 with no games bundled. Both models cannot play PS2 games nor do they have memory card readers like the old, discontinued models.
