December 9, 200817 yr Hi guys just thought i let you that i will be out for a bit due to a power surge that hit the house. No major electronics were lost but i have no internet except on my phone. Everyone is ok and the house is still standing. My mom was able to kick the main breaker off before the surge spread. Pictures will follow once my internet is restored

December 10, 200817 yr The electrical surge was a result of you turning on your PC.. the initial Start up current required to fire up those GFX cards and related fans meant they needed to turn another generator on at the powerplant.. its your fault ding!!!

December 11, 200817 yr Author Nice one Merc. However it wasn't as serious as everyone originally thought. The electrician told us everything is good and secure no problems in any of the outlets. Time Warner came in today and replaced the modem and also upgraded my internet service. So i'm back in the game i just need to stress test my computer make sure everything is up to par.
