Wasn't quite sure where to post so just posted here since its the Battlefield games i'm wanting to play. My game is running fine but for the world I cannot get punkbuster to start. that file thats normally running in services PnkBstrA.exe well its not in my computer at all I run all the pbetups and everything else and they all say my punkbuster is upto date but still cannot play online because pnkbstra.exe cannot be found??? figured id post here first to see if any of you knew a solution before i went to evenbalence.

completely uninstall punkbuster

 

then go here d/l correct version then run and select add a game for your game (BF2) RE-BOOT

 

remember to check firewall settings to allow punkbuster

Have you tried reinstalling the punkbuster service with this tool? Not sure what else you can do.

that worked but now i crash to desktop after playing a few seconds???

VIRUS, check your sys32 files with an antivirus, had the same problem, it was a trojan for me !!!
