Updated my post.

And yes, I played these two games much there too on Atari 1040 ST/STE.

But the game more played on Atari 800 was "Star Raider", "M.U.L.E", "Seven Cities of Gold", "Pacman", "Ms. Pacman" and "Space Invaders". <--- These 3 last will point out the terminals of games in the coffees bar or Luna Park to you...

FYI, I always have them and they still function all...

lol, memory was very expensive: was between $250 to $300 for 16KB. PCB to plug in the one of the 3 slots available under the top cover of the Atari 800...And the cpu 6502a (8 bits bus) costed between $400 to $500 for Atari 400/800 and the 6502c (8 bits) for Atari 800XL & Commodore64 costed $250...

When Atari 1040 cames, the cpu 68000 (16/32 bits bus) costed under $300...

Ooh fun. Here is every system I remember having in the house. First one I bought was the Toshiba laptop.

Tandy Laptop (8086) MS-DOS

486 DX4 100 Mhz MS-DOS/DESQview, Windows 3.11 for Workgroups

Pentium desktop - forget specs, Windows 95

Toshiba Laptop - Pentium 300MHz w/MMX, Windows 95/98

eMachines Pentium 600MHz Mhz, Windows 98/Windows ME/Windows 2000 Professional

AMD Athlon 1800+ w/1GB, Windows XP

AMD Athlon 3200+ w/1GB, Windows XP/Windows Vista

Intel Dual Core Core 2 Duo 2.2GHz w/2GB RAM, Windows Vista

Intel Quad Core Core 2 Duo Q6600 2.4GHz w/8GB RAM, Windows Vista

LOL. Yes, those old pcs were such a joke compared to now. I started around 1990 with an 8088. Did net but only slowly at time.

Let us all remember though and be thankful for those huge room filling code breakers that Britain made, to decipher the German sub radio messages.

If not for that, I think we may not have defeated them.

In my opinion, those first computers helped us put down Hitler. I say Hitler, not Germany, because many in Germany at the time did not agree, but would be shot if expressed disagreement.

Anyway, just imagine at the speed our pcs have improved over 20 yrs at an increasing rate, what might be just over the horizon in next few yrs.

My first computer is an Apple IIgs and it still runs today. In fact, it's right next to my PC. It has been through a lot of upgrades since my parents bought it in 1987.
