January 28, 200917 yr Is anyone else crashing to desktop? Both PCs at our place are crashing to desktop either when loading, after loading, or while playing very, very often. I've looked on the EA website and other people today seem to be having the same thing happen to them.
January 28, 200917 yr I was on today around noonish to 1ish pm and no problems then. could be a punkbuster thing or ea's having so troubles
January 28, 200917 yr BF2 game engine = the suck!!! Problem defined. The only fix I know of is to uninstall and never play again, that is difficult to do though...

Either temporary whatever, or update needed.

January 31, 200916 yr Author Well I'm not running Vista and the crashing has subsided since Wednesday.
January 31, 200916 yr Typically don't have problems myself, however, the other night, I had it, could get in game and be there for a few minutes, then boom! CTD.. No warnings, no nothing, just gone.. I ran the manual PB update (normally don't have to do this), and the problem went away... This was on Wednesday as well.. TFD
February 5, 200916 yr Good to know how to finally solve the same problem I've been having.. haven't been able to play BF2 for awhile because of that... Yeah I'm still alive, lol.
