July 9, 200916 yr So, i went to apply for a Credit Card today at my bank but i needed to have a line of credit to do so, so i was denied a credit card. Ive been paying for my truck i bought a year ago but i guess i needed to be paying for it longer. So i went online to Capital One to try them because i guess everyone can get a credit card from them. So i applied online for a young adult credit card (its like the easiest card to get for new people wanting to get a card) but i was also denied. Apparently all banks are afraid to issues credit cards to people with no lines of credit or haven't had a bank account open for along time. In my POSC class we were discussing the IOU's the government was passing out to everyone and a girl that worked at a bank told us that oh July something something they wont be accepting any IOU's till November so i guess i gotta wait till then. So for now i am with no gaming computer. I get payed next week and hopefully ill have enough to buy all my parts so till then i am out of commission sorry all :peace:

July 9, 200916 yr Author Credit Cards are BAD!! Why don't you just open an account and get a debit card? I have one, i just didn't have the money for my new computer so i was going to get one then trash it after i was done with it, don't worry i don't like credit cards either. i was going to try for a loan but they said there not doing any loans due to the economy.

Yea, i know a lot of banks around here aren't giving loans because of the economy, i would just say wait until your next pay check comes and use some of that money for your computer. Credit cards are just a waste, depending on how much the credit card is worth, the bank will charge you way more then you put on the card.
July 9, 200916 yr hey dark look into a credit union in your area. most of them are not for profit cuz there member owned and ur more likely to get a credit card with better interest rates through them i had my credit card with wells fargo at 22% intrest and switched it to a credit union and dropped it to 14% interest. also if u have a cell phone with a contract that will help with ur credit rating too
