Posted October 25, 200321 yr SVD=Easiest sniper rifle to useSSG=Takes a bit more skill, doesn't always hit when I have it aimed on their head thoughM82=Easily the best sniper rifle in the game. Challenging to use without bipod, but with bipod deployed, it's a thundering storm of .50cal rounds :DMy Vote: m82
October 25, 200321 yr Author not reallypeople are easily forgetting that the m82 can still be used when crouching...or even standing (though it is EXTREMLY hard to snipe with it when standing)
October 25, 200321 yr I don't like the full sniper rifle because i hate camping. I'm a rusher, i don't call the G36 a sniper rifle, because i rush with it and, in some situation, i snipe my ennemies if i can.
October 25, 200321 yr booo to u all cept psy.....my vote has and still goes to the ssg....the scope sway is a hell of a lot more than the svd i dont know y mabye its just me but i love that gun....certain occasions like a long range dense thingy ill go m82 (like on the bridge in bocage) when im on the front line and just for the hell of it i take an svd...but the sniper rifle i would say i use the most is the ssg lol even though i die with it the most also..no for a real sniper rifle i would go for the TAC-OPS Tango 51 with a gauranteed .25 moa lol great gun im thinking of buying it when i get a weee bit older for i think 3,395 dollars lol
October 25, 200321 yr its not possible to judge on a favorite sniperrifle in general since every1 posseses different skills.i used u take the ssg in 2.7 and m82 sometimes but they both are different in 2.8 and i dont really like to snipe anyway!!!i rather sneak up behind people with my uzi or mp5 and stealth skill and give em a pleasent surprise!!!!!!shine catdady
October 25, 200321 yr u can use bipod to the m82, then its become the best but no skills so its kinda noobish, svd is still easy to use, ssg is alot harder to use than the barret or the svd, my vote goes to svd, becouse crouching with a m82 takes skill while crouching but svd dont so who cant use it ^^
October 25, 200321 yr My favorite sniper rifle is the M60. It doesn't have a scope (real men don't need them) and it doesn't have a single fire mode, but with skill it's easy to fire one round and extremely accurate. I rarely even use the bipod anymore.-Fatty
October 25, 200321 yr I vote SSG because it is pretty much the hardest to use.Out of the 3 sniper rifles, that is a REAL mans sniper. SVD, pfft, that is a newbies sniper rifle, hell it used to be an assault rifle and I can still use it as one (It was actually made IRL to be a battle rifle). And M82 takes slightly more skills than the SVD but I personally don't like that gun at all, takes forever to reload, its semiautomatic, and its just too easy to use.But then again as fat man said, a scope isnt really needed for a real man to snipe with. Hell lately I've been doing most of my sniping with a silenced 92f with no marks skill at all. That or a 1911!
October 25, 200321 yr M82 is my favorite if you are covered by a machinegun or subs else the SSG is best but the reload make that you must to move everytime ; the occurrence is SVD have the most rules in most situations....All that sniper rifles depend of the map that you play...Egidio.
October 29, 200321 yr I have found that with the SSG that if you aim a little to the left of the guys head and just bfore u pull the trigger you sharply pull the mouse to the right, this more than often gets a headshot.SVD.....not as "nooby" as in 2.7 but i still think its too easy to usem82.....a skilled sniper can pwn with this gun though the recoil sux even with bipod deployed
October 30, 200321 yr Screw what peaple think, I'm an SVD user. Although I would rather like it if the rangefinder on the scope was usable... that would be cool. http://www.izhmash.udm.ru/arms/#2 Anyway, I do respect those who use the SSG and M82. There are times I break both out, and when I do, I tend to favor the M82 as the SSG doesn't seem to hit worth a dang unless your prone. For those of you who don't go to the official Firearms site, I picked up this link from there... it shows what an M82 is capable of. http://www.biggerhammer.net/barrett/video/
