I start up Steam and click on the games tab.so, I feel like some DoD...I click on DoD and wait...and wait...and wait for exactly 35 minutes...it just constantly looks like:Preparing to play Day of Defeat...it doesn't freeze or anything, just constantly 'prepares' day of defeat.Ok watever. How about some FirearmsIt goes to the Preparing to play Half-Life thing and then another thing pops up saying:This game is currently unavaliableplease try again at another timewhat is going on? how can I fix?

yes, I've played Steam numerous times beforebut when that bad update came out, it began screwing up. I went back to the old update and it was like thisEDITjust looked at the Monitor thing...says no games are being updated(the Show most Recent thing is set on 5 minutes)

hmm...a stupid problem has a stupid solution...I was looking for some cool new skins (to replace my now dull Matrix revolutions skin) and found really cool one. I downloaded it and turned it on. And suddenly, everything seemed to work perfectly, except when the server loads between maps it sometimes freezesCould skins change the process of Steam? In this situation, the answer is yes...
