yes, it will work. however, the servers must be running through steam, also.

Yes, it works good, today since yersterday, crash win xp of course, i reinstalled all, and the new update from steam run good : when you have installed steam, open the "server" tag, and choise TA and click to join the game, this will force the steam to load the "3th part game" on his web site from Valve & creat your "account e-mail" after the little "crash", stop by cancel and comme back in the steam's folder to put this IFC22.dll in hl and backup your FA's folder in the hl folder in your "e-mail" account....Some posts in color & very detailled explain that : go to read it.Egidio.
