Does anyone install the Steam updates?

I was just wondering if anyone is installing the Steam update, because I haven't touched any of them since I heard about people's problems with one of the upgrades. Should I be installing the upgrades or not?-Fatty

Well, if you have Steam running, or not running, it only updates when you first start Steam. And i think even that can be turned off.

No u can't turn off the auto-update, it's because why i had the bug of 2 weeks ago. I started STEAm and it maked the update without ask me before. It's because why i get my STEAM crashed until the next update 2 days later.

That's part of my question, I leave steam running all the time, and I rarely reboot... Will it update even if you don't restart steam?

I see steam updating :

1) when you enter in "a game" and

2) when it open itself, it automaticly update itself too...<--- When this option is remained on.

Yes Fatty, but only if you choise the 1) option only.
