I would have to say no, if EA/Dice keeps up there current path there will be no point in playing any of there games. I hate the fact that they wont spend any time just to release one new map and they keep playing off new game mode's on the same maps as a map pack its BS. Also what would be the point of revamping an older but still good) game with a new engine and frostbite, i think everyone would go "hey this feels like BC2" while i do like BC2 it dose have its flaws. all the secret server code is bs, someone some where will crack it and make there own server some time, just look at all the private diablo 2 communities out there and Blizzard has never made there code public. even with the hl2 engine being so old, there's still millions of people that play various games one it for one reason..that's because people are allowed to mod and make what they want to make out of it. Think about this how cool would fire arms be if it was on the BC2 engine?

battlefield BC2, was an interim map to keep people happy and aa console port... hell can you imagine what it would have been like if they had done nothing since BF2142 and we were still waiting for BF3 now without anything? BFBC2 was more a "beta test of some of the features".. personally i love how the game plays.. you win a map is not necessarily the battle, as it switches.. if you take the best bits from BC2, 2142 and Bf2 (the flight much?), then BC3 will be a stunning game.. they did it with battlefield 1942 and then battlefield 2 (took the best bits and expanded on them).. i will hold my breath for this as i think its going to be a great game either way.
