WolfZero Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 If you are going to spend that much money i would highly recommend building a desktop. Ha. Wayy more bang for buck. Quote
Decaff Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 If you are going to spend that much money i would highly recommend building a desktop. Ha. Wayy more bang for buck. Agreed, thats alot of money for something like that Heavy. You could do way better with a desktop. Quote
DingChavez Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 Desktop is the way that you should go. If you're willing to spend that much on a laptop then you can get a really nice desktop. Quote
SlashDawg Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 Yea.....just ask Ding...he just took out a 30 year loan for his new build....lmao........Seriously.... though. I would agree that you should go with a desk top build, for that kind of money you could build an awesome machine....that would rock for atleast 6 months before it was outdated. But hey...its your money do what you want to with it. And I also agree with the nvidia comment cause ATI sucks....ask Decaff. Quote
heavywrench Posted May 23, 2011 Author Posted May 23, 2011 The Laptop is because of room. I am waiting on a contract to go to north Dakota for a year I would be setting up pads for oil wells and living in a mobil trailer. Also I would need a laptop for the GPS software for the machine control on the dozer. So if this all works out I am going to get a kickass laptop so please put in your ideas on what to put in it. WolfZero Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 i would not recommend alianware. Their screens suck in the sunlight and their prices are tremendously overpriced. So if the 6311.00 one isnt alianware i would recommend that one! Quote
tuby333 Posted May 24, 2011 Posted May 24, 2011 I was amazed by Alienware since ever but they are very expensive. There are few more very competitive LapTops that are not called 'Gaming laptop'.Cut the ideea of gaming laptop and start searching at the top of the famous producers like Toshiba,Acer,Dell and you might get surpriced.
