Battlefield 3 has had another amazing week, keeping up the momentum from last weekÂ’s Electronic Entertainment Expo, where we showed multiplayer from Battlefield 3 for the first time. Now that E3 is behind us, we’ve been keeping a close eye on the “Best Of E3” mentions, and we’re pleased to say Battlefield 3 has earned over 40 nominations! We’ve received some top commendations from sources like IGN, Game Informer, PC Gamer, 1UP, and what’s better, Battlefield 3 has received 20 E3 awards to date! GameSpy named Battlefield 3 the Best First-Person Shooter of E3 2011; Big Picture Big Sound named Battlefield 3 the #1 game of their Top 10 Best Games of E3; 1UP.com awarded us with “Best PC Game” and “Best Shooter” of E3 2011.

The Battlefield team travelled to New York City this week to be a guest on NBC’s Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Naturally, we came bearing gifts: the world premiere of the console version of Battlefield 3! We brought a playable build of Battlefield 3 for the PlayStation 3 to give Jimmy a hands-on demo of what’s in store for the console version of the game. Did you miss it? Fear not! We’ve got your backs – the full Late Night with Jimmy Fallon segment featuring Battlefield 3 for the PlayStation 3 can be seen in the embedded video below. Enjoy!

We know there have been a lot of questions about the Physical Warfare Pack, so we created an blog post answering some of the most prominent frequently asked questions, helping to clarify some concerns about the game. Better yet, Karl Magnus Troedsson, General Manager of DICE, announced that the Battlefield 3 Physical Warfare Pack will be arriving for free to all Battlefield 3 owners later this year!

For our European fans, Battlefield 3 is heading to “The World’s Largest Digital Festival,” Dreamhack! For those of you heading to the summer festival, there’s going to be a Battlefield 3 booth filled with the fine folks from DICE to answer your questions and give attendees a glimpse of Battlefield 3. However, only those with pre-orders will be guaranteed access. If you don’t have a pre-order when you arrive at Dreamhack, fear not! The retailer Webhallen will be on-site to take your pre-orders and get you access to that exclusive booth!

DeviantArt user keereeyos created a simple, but incredibly slick Battlefield 3 wallpaper for all to enjoy. Just the simple tweak on the colors gives the image a far more striking look, which caught our eye, and perhaps youÂ’ll agree.

Another great image comes from a DeviantArt user, this time, itÂ’s just as awesome, but on a slightly smaller scale. Dseo has created another simple, but awesome wallpaper, but this one is made specifically for your iPhone. If you wanted to show your support of Battlefield while on the go, or if you simply want a bad lalala image as your iPhone wallpaper, this may be up your alley. Enjoy!
