BC2 UK Forum: 5 very special videos in the “Only in Battlefield 3” honorary mentions

It is time to pay homage to 5 very special videos that didnÂ’t make it to the winnersÂ’ podium in the “Only in Battlefield 3″ Video Community Challenge. We received so many great videos, and here are five unique ones that are worth watching again. Thanks again for the hard work and passion that you put into this!

How to win when you lose (dogfight)

This was one of the earliest videos to really catch our attention here at DICE. The title hints at the narrative: A pilot needs to eject, but manages to switch to his RPG and shoot down the enemy jet that took him out. A true classic from the Open Beta that embodies the dynamics of Battlefield 3 multiplayer!

Battlefield 3 Panic Attack!!

This one always makes us laugh. User shosho10199 corners an enemy sniper on top of a roof, and much hilarity ensues. ThereÂ’s MAV flying, a dramatically failed parachute escape attempt, and utter defeat. This video shows that even though youÂ’re on separate teams, Battlefield 3 is a place to meet new friends.

Overwatch

Sometimes, the team play in a video is just so strong and impressive that you nod in silent approval while watching it. This team knows how to play together as a team. While ground troops clear out the buildings, their friends circle in a pattern overhead in helicopters to provide support and pickup. We approve.

Ride of the asdfs

WeÂ’re not sure who the asdfs are, but if this video is anything to go by, they like to dib shotgun seats in jeeps and drive around Caspian Border raising all kinds of hell. For some unique and over the top driving scenes, look no further.

Relaxing Rain Ambience

After a hard nightÂ’s gaming where your K/D ratio plummeted, donÂ’t plant your controller through the TV. Instead, load up this beautiful HD edit from Grand Bazaar featuring 7 minutes of relaxing and soothing sounds of rain. A truly unique interpretation of an otherwise busy battle zone.
