December 28, 200322 yr Everything was fine with steam until a week ago. After that, everytime I try to run it, it says its updating, gets to 26%, and then starts over. After 3 times, it stops and says steam is temporarily unavailable. It's done this for a week and im about to bash my brains out for not being able to play FA!
December 28, 200322 yr it seems you're having a problem that appeared in a recent version of Steam: Steam Website "An update to Steam has been released to fix a problem that a small number of users have experienced when attempting to launch. Users who experienced this bug would see the initial progress bar reach 99% and not progress any further. Users who are currently in this state should download and run this installer in their current Steam directory. although it seems you're not getting to 99%, try downloading and installing this anyway http://www.steampowered.com/download/SteamInstall.exe
December 28, 200322 yr If that does not work then delete the .blob file in your Steam folder and update again.
