Posted February 22, 20178 yr https://www.origin.com/usa/en-us/store/origin-access/trials If you've been eyeing Electronic Arts' Origin Access program but felt the price was too steep, there's good news on that front this week, as EA quietly started offering an annual membership to the digital gaming subscription service for just $30. Previously, members would have to pay $5 per month (meaning $60 for a full year). At the same time, EA has kicked off a seven-day free trial program for those players who simply want to give the subscription service a test drive without committing. For those who don't know, Origin Access is the PC version of EA Access on Xbox One, which already carries a price of $30 annually. The subscription gives players a chance to download EA's biggest games as the company continues to add to its catalog. Sometimes EA even gives members early access to titles; Battlefield 1, for example, became available several days before the official retail release date. While Origin Access is primarily a digital storefront for EA's library, it should be noted that EA does have relationships with other gaming companies, most notably French publisher Ubisoft. Players can download games in franchises like Watch Dogs, The Division, Far Cry, Assassin's Creed and more. There are indie titles too, like This War of Mine, Torchlight 2 and The Banner Saga 2.
February 22, 20178 yr I used it for awhile, right before battlefield 1 came out. Got a discount on the game, early access and got to play some games for free. It's a dope deal. I would definitely recommend it. $30 for the year is definitely a great deal.
February 22, 20178 yr I got the Access back when BF1 was doing beta etc. I figured $5 / mo why not? I mean I spend more than that on Diet Cokes a month and I dont really like Diet Coke lol. Gonna use it to play some games I never played but wanted to due to price at the time. I mean I haven't always been a well paid IT Professional and all. Wait I still am not but i'm doin ok .
February 22, 20178 yr If you already pay for the $5 month option you can go into your origin account billing settings and change to the $30/year option. I don't think they will switch for you.
