April 6, 20179 yr DICE has announced that they will be moving to a monthly update schedule instead of the seasonal updates we've been seeing. DLC releases will still maintain the spacing between releases but feature additions, fixes, etc will start rolling out on a monthly basis. Apparently this whole new mode of them actually listening to us on the CTE telling them the fixes need to come out faster before the entire playerbase disappears has been heard. I'm hoping it's not too late but we shall see. More to come as I get info.
April 9, 20179 yr I am glad to. The game launched with 129,000 PC players. Last night I get on and there were only 20,000 players gaming. PC 30,177 Peak 24h 35,491 That is still better than BF4: PC 16,456 Peak 24h 20,269 Or Hardline: PC 697 Peak 24h 847
April 10, 20179 yr Author There are a bunch of us cranky old bastards holding their feet to the fire on RSP and simple things that should be but just aren't. A lot of the guys that were posting on the forums actually trying to make shit better are over there and the ones that just logged on to gripe are not so more info is making its way to actual devs and conversations are taking place. I know not every change is exactly what we would want but we are pointing out failures quite vehemently, ie: Automagic Grenades, which are being removed. While there will be a reduction in the loadout you spawn with a full load can be had via a supply crate. IMHO this will make the game play a lot like the old BF4 HC mode where you pretty much needed supports. The move is to make the support class relevant again and the grenade change made them no so as you had a grenade supplied to you every 40 sec or about the time it takes to move between points. We are looking to see how these changes pan out of the CTE will update with further info asap.
April 10, 20179 yr Yeah tiggr announce a new map to test in cte today and all the great things coming. I asked RSP? He actually replied mhm. Not good Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
April 11, 20179 yr Author Well Mhm is an acknowledgement in the affirmative. I know 6p start has been on the CTE for a couple of weeks now as well as PW protected servers have been there. My issue at this point isn't that they arent doing anything its that they are moving at a snail's pace. My hope is with the new update schedule they are implementing we will now see a faster deployment of features cause lets face it the whole flipping thing could have been coded by a room full of blind crack addled monkeys by now.
April 11, 20179 yr Agreed. The monthly update schedule should have been going since day 1. With the complaints and issues you can even argue even weekly updates. April 13th marks 7 months and the infrastructure I would have to say is still 3 to 6 months behind schedule which is what is was at game launch. Now DLC and the usual NERFS & BUFFS to balance is would say is on schedule. We can argue if they were good or not but I will say it looks about a normal pace. I still say the game itself is very solid. Server side of things such as Chat filter, Balancer, admin controls, multiple admins etc is still the biggest issue that this game really needs.
