Posted June 25, 20187 yr Looks like PUBG is creating more havoc for themselves by joining the event pass bandwagon. I'm not sure how I feel about these "pay to play more for loot" schemes. They seem better than loot crates but not by much. I wish they would stop with charging so much for cosmetic changes and provide new content instead. Any thoughts on the Event Pass from our PUBG players? PUBG Event Pass Met with Huge Player Backlash - IGN M.IGN.COM Reddit and Twitter posts showcase a fanbase which is frustrated with the recent announcement.
June 26, 20187 yr I dont have an issue with these honestly. They are cosmetic only and while the pass is pay you get to choose what you get and it's not up to random chance. You arent required to buy the pass nor the items so as long as there isn't anything that affects the gameplay or gives an advantage I'm ok with it. Oh and while they timed it with the release they did introduce a new map and weapon so content was provided even if they were already working on it. Now Fortnite has this model down to a science. Free to play game with skins that people want to buy and content released every couple of months. I will continue to give Epic my dollah dollah bills yo. They are probably the best gaming company out there atm when it comes to content and actually listening to their clients. Case in point: Community: We want some place to practice so we can get better at the game without someone sniping our face off. Epic: That sounds awesome. Yep look for it soon. Introducing the Playground Mode for a limited time to see how much it gets used and if it's worth making a full time thing Conversely.... Community: We want some place to practice so we can get better at the game without someone sniping our face off. DICE/EA: Fuck you. No new training area like BF4 had.
